The National Institute of Fashion Technology Navi Mumbai is now open for applications to its UG, PG, continuing education, and diploma programs for the current academic year. Undergraduate (UG) programs: Applicants must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent exam from any stream. Admission depends on results from the NIFT Entrance Exam, including the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT), with a situation test to follow for design-related courses. For getting admission to UG Design programs, an entrance examination comprising a general ability test (GAT) and creative ability test (CAT). Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the entrance examination will take a situation test.
Specifically for the UG Fashion Technology program, candidates take the General Ability Test (GAT) as part of the entrance exam. B.F.Tech candidates got shortlisted by the common general ability test (GAT).
Candidates who are planning to pursue B.Des will have to appear in a national entrance examination conducted by NIFT comprising a General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT). B.Des candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the entrance examination and will appear in a situation test.
For getting admission to the M.Des program, candidates must appear in an entrance examination comprising a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and a General Ability Test (GAT). Shortlisted candidates of the entrance examination will undergo a Personal Interview (PI).
Admission to the M.F.M. program at NIFT Mumbai calls for a bachelor's degree in any field, with at least 50% marks overall. Applicants must also appear for the Graduate Aptitude Test (GAT) administered by NIFT. Personal interview is also a compulsory part, along with the GAT to secure a good rank in the admission process.
