Candidates from the reserved category will be eligible with some relaxation. At MU, the minimum eligibility criteria for a course is having passed Class 8th. For undergraduate programs, candidates must have completed their Class 12 education from a recognised board with relevant subjects, depending on the course and specialisation.
If a candidate chooses to opt for LE courses, candidates will require a 3-year diploma course to be eligible for Undergraduate courses. For instance, the eligibility criteria for BPharma in Lateral Entry is having 3 years of Diploma in Pharmacy.
Postgraduate applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree in the respective field from an accredited institution. The eligibility percentage for specific courses varies depending on the specialisation and course. At least 45% marks in the Bachelor’s degree is expected.
The eligibility percentage for the Diploma courses may vary, however, passing Class 12th is a minimum requirement that all candidates aspiring to pursue Diploma programs are expected to satisfy. Academic scores of Class 10th and Class 12th are mandatory; depending on the course and specialisation, a minimum of 35% to 50% is required.
The minimum requirement for a PhD is to have at least 55% in a master’s degree. Some PhD courses’ eligibility criteria will be defined as per the UGC guidelines. Also, candidates who have appeared or have secured valid scores in GATE, CEED, UGC/ CSIR/ NET/ JRF, etc, will be prioritised.
The eligibility criteria for the ITI course are defined by the marks obtained in Class 8th or Class 10th. To be accepted for ITI courses such as Electrician, Fitter, and Mechanic Diesel, candidates are required to have passed Class 10th with Mathematics and Science, while for the ITI course Wireman, passing Class 8th will be considered.
