IIT Madras has set up a Career Pathway Centre to streamline the placement and internship process. CPC provides students with an integrated platform for diverse career trajectories. IIT Madras has collaborated with top domestic and international companies.

Many top companies often participate in the placement drives conducted by IIT Madras, and students from all streams become a part of this drive. The placement drives are conducted annually at IIT Madras campus based on the students’ performance and skills. The top recruiting companies of IIT Madras include Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Deloitte, and Goldman Sachs.

The recruitment process starts in July and ends in May.
An independent body, the Career Development Cell, focuses on all-around preparation of students for the placement process.
The registration process starts in August. Other activities, such as Pre-Placement Talks and aptitude and Technical Tests, will start in September and November.
