Indian Institute of Technology Chennai : IIT Madras Infrastructure 2025: Facilities Offered
Spread across 617 acres of land, IIT Madras is a part of Guindy National Park. The institute is located 10 km from the Chennai airport and 12 km from Chennai Central Railway Station. The campus is endowed with state-of-the-art infrastructure. IIT Madras is a classic example of retro-architectural value, beautifully designed to make the campus more student-friendly. In the recent development of IIT Madras infrastructure, the new academia complex was constructed with a total budget of 115 crores.

Apart from its academic block, the campus has a Central Lecture Theatre, opposite to the OAT. It has a total capacity of seating 400 students and is used for house-in activities. To maintain the physical fitness of students, IIT Madras has various sports complexes, including the KS Narayanan Centre for Cricketing Excellence, an athletics stadium, 4 tennis courts, etc.
