IIT Hyderabad has a variety of B.Tech programmes to choose from when planning a bright engineering future. Admission to the college is based solely on the score of the IIT-JEE Advanced exam. To get admission to the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) in the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) course, applicants must secure the minimum cut-off marks in the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced). Then, they have to participate in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) Counselling.
Moreover, candidates should have completed Class 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognised state or central board. They are required to have at least 75% aggregate marks. The minimum marks for the SC, ST and PwD categories are 65%.
The Department of Design at IIT Hyderabad provides a full-time undergraduate design course – Bachelor of Design (B.Des). Students are given the freedom to choose any of the core design fields of Product Design, Visual Communication, and Interaction Design.
Admission to B.Des requires a valid Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) score. The department also has a B.Des + M.Des Dual Degree that is a full-time, five-year programme. Eligible students for this alternative are decided upon their performance, including CGPA and portfolio, and they may receive a call by the end of their third year.
Moreover, the department offers a B.Des to PhD pathway, whereby students may be allowed direct conversion to a PhD programme on account of their performance and the calibre of a research proposal. To get admitted to postgraduate programmes at the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, candidates should meet the eligibility criteria for postgraduate courses given below.
