Age Limit: Born on or after 1 October 2000 (1 October 1995 for SC/ST).
Number of attempts: Two attempts, two consecutive years for JEE Advanced.
Qualification: Passed Class 12 in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as compulsory subjects.

Candidates interested in MTech programs are required to register on the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). Candidates can then apply directly from the IIT Goa official website. Once the application is finalised, candidates can pay the fees to reserve their seats.
Candidates must have a valid GATE score to become eligible for the MTech program. The fee for MTech is INR 22,050 per semester.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates must have a BE/ B.Tech degree with a minimum of 60% marks or CPI of 6.0 out of 10.0 (55% marks OR CPI of 5.5 out of 10.0 for SC/ST) for MTech, along with a valid GATE score.
The institute offers MTech programs in various branches like Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering. The duration of MTech courses is 2 years which includes the first year of coursework.
Admission to the MTech program is done through the candidate’s score in the GATE exam. Candidates also need to fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the institute. The MTech program requires candidates to complete 53 credits throughout the course. Out of 53 credits, 24 are completed from the M.Tech thesis.
IIT Goa also offers PhD programs in different streams like Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Economics, Computer Science & Engineering, etc. Candidates can apply online on the institute’s official website by submitting the mandatory documents. The application process requires an online fee of INR 200 for the General category and INR 100 for reserved categories and female candidates.
After the application process is done, entrance tests will be conducted to shortlist the final candidates. The tuition fee for the PhD program is INR 21,300. To become eligible for admission, students must have completed one of the eligibility criteria given below:

Candidates must have a PG Degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent degree with 60% marks. (55% marks for SC/ST) Or UG or equivalent degree in Engineering/Technology with 70% marks(65% marks for SC/ST) Or PG degree in Science, Arts, Social Sciences with 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST).

Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) of CSIR/ UGC/ NBHM/ DBT/ICAR/ ICMR/ ICPR Fellowship in the relevant streams.
B.Tech/Dual degree from IIT with a minimum CPI/CGPA of 8.0
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience.
