IIM Shillong PhD (WP) Fee Structure
IIM Shillong offers the PhD (WP) program for working professionals who want to continue their studies. The IIM Shillong fees include program, immersion, and alumni fees, along with a refundable deposit. The fee is paid in different parts during the four years. It begins with an acceptance fee at admission. The program helps professionals study research while working.

IIM Shillong IPM Fee Structure
The IPM program at IIM Shillong is a five-year course that combines management and undergraduate studies. The Indian Institute of Management Shillong Fees include tuition and non-academic expenses. The fee is paid yearly. The first three years have the same tuition and other costs. The last two years follow the PGP fee structure of IIM Shillong.

NOTE:
Non-academic expenses include hostel charges, IT facilities, student welfare, and health insurance.
The first-year fee also covers the acceptance fee.
An alumni fee of INR 10,000 and a refundable deposit of INR 20,000 must be paid at admission.
Mess charges have to be paid in advance as per actual cost.
Travel and stay for local or global visits are not included in the fee and will be charged separately.
The cost of any study abroad program will also be extra and based on actual expenses.
If a student leaves the course before completing the bachelor’s degree, GST will be charged on the fees paid up to that point. This amount must be paid before leaving the program.
IIM Shillong Scholarships
In 2025, IIM Shillong provides various scholarships to PGP students to assist them in their studies. The top Class Scholarship of SC Students provided by the ministry of social justice and empowerment is one of them. The scholarship is offered to students of the Scheduled Caste group.
The institute also has a Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA) Scheme to students who require financial assistance. In addition to this, the Government of India offers scholarships to SC, ST and PWD students in order to make education more affordable to every student.
IIM Shillong PhD Stipend
Students who get selected for the residential Doctoral Program receive full financial support. This covers their study needs and basic living expenses. The rules for this support may change according to the institute’s policies.
Students get financial support every month for four years. In the first and second year they get INR 35,000 each month. In the third and fourth year they get INR 40,000 each month. They must pass exams and do their research work well to keep getting this support. They also have to help teachers with teaching and research work.
The institute also provides extra help of INR 2,30,000. Each student can get INR 80,000 to buy a computer in the second year after finishing the first year.
From the second year, they can get up to INR 1,00,000 to join workshops, seminars, and conferences in India or other countries.
During the whole course students also get INR 50,000 more for study needs like books and other items. The institute will tell them what things are included in this money.
