IIM Ahmedabad Doctoral Program in Management (PhD) Fees
IIMA offers full financial assistance covering tuition, computer, library, medical insurance, placement, and alumni fees for the Doctoral Program in Management.
Doctoral students receive a monthly subsistence allowance: INR 42,000 in the first two years, INR 45,000 after passing the comprehensive exam, and INR 50,000 after thesis proposal submission. They also get a contingency allowance of INR 35,000 per year for up to five years for research-related expenses.
Up to INR 4,00,000 is reimbursed for presenting papers at conferences. Fieldwork and data collection expenses are reimbursed up to INR 2,00,000. Scholarship Offered by IIMA
There are two major postgraduate scholarships at IIMA. Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad Exit Scholarships
IIMA provides Exit Scholarships to graduates who are pursuing promising careers. For 3 years, entrepreneurs may receive a monthly stipend of INR 30,000. Students working with not-for-profit organizations may receive a loan repayment between INR 3 LPA and INR 4 LPA for three years.
Similarly, graduates pursuing doctoral studies in India or abroad can receive INR 3 to INR 4 LPA for a maximum of three years, encouraging academic research and higher education.

- Aditya Birla Group Scholarships: Given to approximately the three best students of PGP I and PGP II, this scholarship is managed entirely by the Aditya Birla Group. All the chosen students are entitled to INR 1.75 LPA.
- Dunia Scholarships on Academic Excellence: This scholarship is established by Dunia Finance LLC, Dubai, and sponsors two students, one in the first and one in the second phase of the PGP. Each student will receive INR 100,000 as the award.
- OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship: This scholarship is available to one or two students who are in their second year of PGP and applies to applicants who have to go through a series of academic performance, online examination, and a personal interview. INR 1.50 is given to every recipient annually.
- T. Thomas Scholarship: This scholarship is provided by Hindustan Unilever Ltd. to a second-year student based on merit-cum-means. The annual scholarship is INR 100,000.
