Admission to various courses present at the Goa Institute of Management includes PGDM with disciplines such as Big Data Analytics, Healthcare Management, Banking Insurance & Financial Services, and a Doctoral program in Management in a full-time 4-year duration. Although there are some basic eligibility criteria that students have to fulfill in order to be admitted to the program of their choice.
Admission to GIM is merit-based, except for the PGDM BDA and IDA programs. Shortlisted candidates will have to pass an online Written Aptitude Test (WAT). The minimum eligibility criteria for the PGDM program are having a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks (45% for the reserved category) and must have a valid score in CAT/XAT/GMAT.

The basic eligibility criteria for the programs at GIM are different depending on the level of the course, such as for the PGDM course, a bachelor's degree from a recognised university is required with at least 50% marks. For reserved category students 45% is required in the bachelor’s degree. Along with the basic eligibility criteria, students must have valid scores in CAT/XAT/GMAT.
For the residential FPM program, students must have a master's or equivalent degree with at least 60% marks, while for the non-residential FPM program, along with the Master's degree, the candidate also must have 5 years of work experience in order to be admitted to the program. Shortlisted candidates must appear for the personal interview.
Admission to the full-time PGDM course is expected to open in January 2026. Students interested in the program must complete the application form before the deadline, which is expected to be in the month of August 2026. However, the students must fulfil the eligibility requirements for admission. The basic eligibility criteria include a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks from a recognised university with valid scores in XAT/CAT/GMAT. For the reserved category, students must have 45% marks in a bachelor's degree. The shortlisted student will have to appear for the Online Written Aptitude Test (WAT).
For the PGDM BDA program, candidates have to appear for the GIM Analytics Aptitude Test, which is expected to be held in February 2026.
The Hybrid PGDM program at the Goa Institute of Management is available for students interested in pursuing a 2-year course. To be admitted to the program, students must complete the eligibility criteria, which include a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks and a total of 3 years of work experience after graduation. Selected candidates have to pass an interview conducted by the Goa Institute of Management. Aspirants interested in the program must fill out the application form before the specified deadline given by the institute.
For admission to the IDA program, students must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks in their bachelor's degree along with valid scores in the CAT/XAT/GMAT.
Additionally, aspirants must have a valid score in any of the following English Proficiency Tests: TOEFL iBT (100 Score), IELTS (7.0 Score), CPE (Grade C), CAE (Grade B), and BEC (Grade B). Shortlisted candidates must appear for the GAAT and a personal interview conducted by the institute. Students must complete the application form first to be able to proceed further by visiting the official website of the GIM.
The Doctoral program at GIM is available in Residential as well as non-residential courses with a duration of 4 years. However, the minimum eligibility criteria are slightly different, which include having a master's or equivalent degree with not less than 60% marks, while for the non-residential course (Executive program), along with the master's degree, executives must also have 10 years of work experience.
The application portal for the FPM program is expected to open between October 2025 to March 2026. Interested students must submit the application form online within the time by paying the application fee of INR 2000, along with SOP and a letter of recommendation. The shortlisted candidates will then have to undergo an interview for the final selection.
