The admission process at Amity University is mostly done in online mode and aims to reward merit at every academic level. The university, for its 2026 session, normally takes admission through its Admission Microsite as it serves as one one-stop platform where candidates not only submit their applications but also monitor their application status right up to the stage of enrollment. The undergraduate courses, such as B.Tech, BBA, and BCA, witness the commencement of an admission process via the submission of an online application with a fee of INR 1500. The main criterion for selection to its UG courses is through academic merit of Class 12 graduates for some courses, while for some courses, it also considers the scores of the CUET UG conducted by NTA.
For admission into the PG course, like in MBA, M.Tech, or M.A. programme,s theyis are expected to have a relevant Bachelor's degree with an aggregate minimum of 50 or 60%. The selection for some of the exams is mostly done through competitive entrance examinations like for example, MBA candidates are assessed on the basis of CAT, MAT, GMA,T etc. This is followed by a Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) round. Similarly courses like M.Tech or other technical courses, the candidates are required to have a GATE score. The eligibility criteria for PhD programmes are that the students would have a PG degree in the relevant subject in which they are applying. They are also required to have a UGC NET o UGC CSIR score for some of the programmes.
Step 1 - Application Phase
Registration: Go to https://portal.amity.edu/NewOnlineForm/Candidate/SignUp and create an account by providing the candidate's name, mobile number, and email.
Filling in the Form: The candidate has to fill up the preferred campus (Noida) and preferred UG Programmes (B.Tech or BBA or B.Com, etc.).
Documentation: Please provide scanned copies of original documents of:
Mark sheet of Class X (compulsory).
Class XII Mark sheet (if results are declared; otherwise, appearing status).
Recent passport-size photograph.
Application Fee: Pay INR 1,500 via Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
Step 2 - Eligibility and Selection Criteria
According to the course, Amity follows a multi-stage selection depending on:
Direct Admission: All the students who are meritorious, usually with at least 80% marks in Class XII (from recognized boards), get direct admission in the university, skipping the selection process.
National Entrance Examinations:
CUET UG: Amity, Noida is a participating university in CUET, and as such, candidates have to select Amity and the relevant subject mapping while registering for CUET.
Screening: If the candidates do not come under the direct admission category, then their application will be screened for an interview or internal test.
Step 3 - The Assessment Stage
Once the application is processed (usually within 3–5 working days), students will be notified via the Microsite about the selection process:
Video Interview: Instead of travelling to the campus, most students are asked to record a video response to specific questions provided on the portal.
Creative Tests: For programs like Fine Arts, Design, or Architecture, candidates may need to submit a portfolio or appear for a creative drawing test.
Step 4 - Offer Letter and Fee Payment
Tracking Status: Regularly log in to the Admission Microsite to get all updates regarding selection or "Conditional Offers" (for those whose 12th results are pending) are posted here.
Admission Letter: Once a student is shortlisted, they can download their admission letter from the portal. The admission letter will give information regarding the semester fee and payment deadline.
Securing a seat in this program entails paying the tuition fee for the first semester, as well as a security fee that is refundable and related to studies.

The CUET UG Exam conducted by NTA measures academic potential through three sections. In section 1, the testing of language ability is carried out with 50 multiple-choice questions in 45 minutes. In section 2, the testing of awareness of subject matter that is connected to their field of specialization will be based on the NCERT syllabus class 12 in 50 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes for each subject. In section 3, the area of general awareness or awareness of current events with a total of 60 minutes is involved. Candidates will receive +5 marks for each correct answer, a deduction of -1 mark for an incorrect answer, and a score of 0 marks for questions not attempted. This scoring system provides a comprehensive assessment of all academic skills of the candidates and provides adequate preparation for anyone applying for admission into one of the many institutions that are included in the national CUET UG examination.

Amity University provides a variety of undergraduate courses, each with different specific CUET UG requirements and qualification standards within those areas of study. The technical courses like B.Tech or B. Arch usually requires candidates to have taken English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. They are also required to have achieved at least a 60% average for all three subjects. Similarly, candidates seeking admission to B.Sc. and B.Pharma programmes generally need to pass English, as well as one of the following from Biology or Chemistry subjects. The minimum percentage for qualification in these two subjects is around 50%-60% when combined with the biological sciences.
The B.A. and BBA degree programs offer flexible admission requirements. Applicants need to submit an English score and choose a second subject, usually Economics or Political Science, along with a General Test. Most B.A. language programs only require proof of passing the Class 12 English exam. However, B.Com (Hons) and Integrated MBA applicants must have higher scores, typically achieving an average of 70% or more. For vocational and creative degrees like BFA and B.Des, the focus is on passing the English exam and showing skill in Fine Arts.
