AIIMS Rae Bareli provides admission to its premier 5.5-year undergraduate MBBS course and postgraduate (MD/MS) courses in several medical specialisations. The MBBS course consists of academic study for four and a half years with a mandatory one-year rotating internship. Postgraduate courses last three years and are provided in specialities including General Medicine, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Community Medicine.

To be eligible for MBBS admission at AIIMS Rae Bareli, candidates must have passed the class 12th or an equivalent examination from a recognised board or university with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects.
A minimum aggregate of 60% marks is required for General and OBC candidates, 50% for SC/ST, and 55% for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PWBD). Candidates who studied Biology as an additional subject are also eligible, as per a Delhi High Court order. Those appearing for the qualifying examination can apply provisionally but must submit proof of qualifying with the required marks before admission. CGPA holders must apply the approved conversion factor from their respective boards.
If the qualifying examination is from a foreign or unlisted Indian board, candidates must produce an equivalence certificate issued by the respective university or the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
