NATA 2025 Overview: The National Aptitude Test in Architecture is the national-level entrance examination, which is conducted thrice in a year by the Council of Architecture for students targeting Architecture studies. This examination offers admission to the undergraduate level programs in Architecture, which is a five-year B.Arch. This Course is suitable for candidates who want to study architecture from the top universities in India. The examination process started from 03 February 2025, and Interested candidates can apply before the last date, 09 August 2025 which was extended Exam date. The exam was conducted every Friday and Saturday till 09 August 2025 (except public holidays).

The NATA ( National Aptitude Test in Architecture) is organised by the Council of Architecture (CoA) three times a year. Candidates seeking admission into architecture programs can fill out the examination’s application form from 03 February 2025 to the last date of the examination, that is, 09 August 2025 (extended). The conducting body operates this national-level examination in both offline and online modes. The exam was done in multiple phases, of which the first phase was already done in March and April 2025, while the next phase was conducted between July and September 2025.  The NATA exam consists of 2 parts: Part A ( Drawing and composition Test) and Part B (Computer-Based Adaptive Test). The NATA 2025 exam will be a total of 180 minutes (3 Hours) for both parts. This exam was set to be held every Friday and Saturday till 09 August 2025 which is extended by the authority. 

Candidates who are seeking admission in BArch can apply for this exam through the official website. The application for this examination is for general and OBC candidates is INR 1750, for SC/ST/EWS/PWD candidates the fee is INR 1250 and for third gender the fee is INR 1000. The fee for the candidate outside India is INR 15000, the fee is non-refundable for all cases. 

To qualify for this examination, candidates must have 10+2 passed certificates from any recognized board including the state board, with physics and mathematics as the main subjects, with the third subject which could be any of these -  chemistry/biology/computer science/ information technology/engineering graphics/ business studies with atleast 45% of marks in aggregate.

NATA 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The Council of Architecture (CoA) prescribes the eligibility criteria for the NATA 2025 examination, which include the basic education requirements and aggregate marks in the candidate's intermediate examination. The candidate who wants to take admission in the first year of the BArch program should have passed the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 45% of total marks, with physics and mathematics as the main subjects. Candidates who have completed diploma courses after the 10th examination can also apply for the NATA 2025 examination, but only with mathematics as their subject, with 45% aggregate marks.

The examination conducting authority has released the NATA examination application form on 03 February 2025, and the process was extended till 09 August 2025 ( last exam day). Candidates who are willing to study architecture can apply for this examination before the last date. The application fee varies by category and citizenship; the fee ranges between INR 1000 to INR 1750, depending on the reservation quota. Candidates outside India can also apply for this examination; the application fee for them is INR 15000.

To fill out the application form candidate should upload all the required documents, including 10th marksheet, 12th marksheet, or equivalent (diploma certificate), and should also provide personal details like name, address, identity proof, photograph, etc. The applicants must be sure that all provided documents are correct to avoid any discrepancy.

The examination is conducted in 2 parts, that is, Part A and Part B, which contain both online and offline formats. Below is an overview of the marking scheme:

The NATA 2025 admit card is an important document to get entry into the examination centre. The examination authority releases the admit card online on the official website nata.in. Applicants can download the admit card  3- 4 days before the exam by logging in with their credentials, like application number and password. The hall ticket will contain important details like exam date, time, examination center name, and candidate information.

NATA 2025 Exam Answer Key

The answer key for the NATA 2025 Exam was released a  few days after the exam. It allows candidates to verify their responses and calculate estimated scores. Students can download the answer key in the PDF format on the official website of NATA. This is the final answer key, as the examination authority will not accept any kind of objection against the NATA answer key. 

NATA 2025 Exam Results

The NATA 2025 Exam results were uploaded on the official website after 7 days of the exam. Candidates can access their marks by logging in with their login details. The result includes the section-wise and overall scores, along with the qualifying status. The candidates must secure the minimum marks of each section to qualify for the NATA 2025 examination. The results were released within 7 days after the examination date, and these scores will be valid till 2027. Candidates are advised to visit the official website for the latest result updates.

NATA 2025 Exam Cutoff

The NATA 2025 examination authority releases its cutoff after a few days of the examination being conducted. This cutoff list contains information like the candidate’s name, the obtained marks of each section, and the qualifying status. The participating universities will also release their college-wise cutoff marks for each phase of the examination. Interested applicants must visit the official website to check the latest result updates.  The college-wise cutoff will be based on the number of candidates, reservation categories, and available seats of the selected course. The student must have the minimum passing marks of the examination, which is 70 out of  200.

NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) 2025 is an entrance exam conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA) for admission to B.Arch programs across India.

Candidates who have passed or are appearing in 10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics or a 10+3 Diploma recognized by the government are eligible. There is no age limit.
