The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences in Telangana has made a few important announcements about the Telangana NEET UG Counselling 2025 providing MBBS and BDS admissions through both Competent Authority Quota and Management Quota for the academic year 2025-26. The admissions will be given based on the results of NEET UG 2025 conducted by NTA. Individuals applying for the admissions must be following the domicile rules and eligible as per the criteria set both by the state government and the Supreme Court of India.
Telangana NEET UG 2025 Counselling: Eligibility and Domicile Criteria
After the orders from the Supreme Court and implementation of the government guidelines, KNRUHS has cleared the air that the students are eligible for admission into the Telangana quota only if their parents come under certain categories and those kids have studied for four consecutive years (academically) outside the state of Telangana. The mentioned categories are:
Employees of the Telangana State Government who are on a deputation/officer-in-charge at a place outside the State of Telangana.
The appointed, serving, and retired members of the Telangana cadre of All India Services (IAS, IPS, IFS).
Defence personnel, ex-servicemen, and Central Armed Police Force personnel who have been relocated/reposted/officer-in-charge at a place outside the State of Telangana.
Employees of central government corporations, agencies, or public sector undertakings who are subject to transfers or relocations anywhere across the country.
Candidates meeting these conditions are required to submit a certificate of employment from the competent authority related to their parent's service, covering the period corresponding to their years of study outside Telangana. This move has been put in place to ensure that the children of officers who were posted out of the state and hence studied elsewhere do not suffer during the counselling process.
Telangana NEET UG 2025 Counselling: Certificate Verification Process
Candidates who have already registered for MBBS and BDS admissions under these quotas must report in person to KNRUHS, Warangal, for certificate verification. The verification window is active from 9 to 11 September 2025, between 10 AM and 5 PM. The applicants should bring such documents mentioned below:
Certificate of employment issued by the local authority,
A printout of the filled application form,
Bonafide/study certificates (originals) of the promoted classes from 9 to Intermediate/10+2,
Aadhaar card
One set of photocopies of all certificates.
KNRUHS has also given a clear indication that only the candidates who meet these requirements for the documents and carry out the certificate verification as per the schedule will be taken into consideration for admission under the different quotas.
Telangana NEET UG 2025 Counselling Process Overview
The Telangana NEET UG Counselling 2025 is conducted by KNRUHS and includes multiple stages such as registration, document verification, exercise of web options, seat allotment and reporting to the allotted college. The counselling process caters to a total of 65 medical colleges and 32 dental colleges with approximately 9065 medical and 1340 dental seats across Telangana. There are three rounds of counselling along with mop-up rounds to fill vacant seats under the state quota.
