CAT 2025: Registrations to End Soon, Check Details Now

The registration process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025 is about to close soon. Candidates who want to apply must complete their registration by Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 5:00 PM on the official website iimcat.ac.in. 

CAT is a national-level entrance exam for admission into MBA and management programs at 21 Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and over 1,000 other business schools across India. This year, the CAT exam is being conducted by IIM Kozhikode. Every Year, the conducting body for the examination changes, and each IIM gets an opportunity to conduct the exam chance wise. 

Note that, according to the official sources and recent updates, the last date to apply is 13th September 2025, but despite this, candidates are advised to visit the official website of the conducting body for updated information, as the dates are likely to be extended.

Who Can Apply For CAT 2025 

To apply for CAT 2025, candidates must go through the eligibility criteria to determine if they are eligible for the examination or not. Though the eligibility criteria for the CAT Exam 2025 are very basic, here is the detailed criterion given: 

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (or 45% for SC/ST/PwD categories).

• Final-year students and those awaiting results can also apply.

• There is no age limit to apply for the exam 

How to Register For CAT 2025 

To register, candidates must simply visit the official website of IIM CAT and then follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Visit iimcat.ac.in

Step 2: Click on the “New Candidate Registration” given. Upon clicking, a new page will be loaded. After this, a new instruction notice will open, click on the close button. Again, a privacy notice will flash out. Tap on the I Agree option to access the application page. 

Step 3: Step 3: Scroll down to register using all the information asked to be provided, such as the name of the candidates, date of birth, Email Address, and more.

Step 4: Upload required documents (photo, signature, certificates)

Step 5: Pay the application fee of INR 2,600 if you are a student belonging to General/EWS/OBC, and INR 1,300 for SC/ST/PwD

Step 6: Submit and download the confirmation page

CAT 2025 Exam Details

• CAT 2025 will be held on November 30, 2025 in three sessions across 170 cities.

• The test duration is 2 hours (120 minutes).

• It includes three sections:

  • Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension

  • Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning

  • Quantitative Ability

• Candidates will get 40 minutes per section and cannot switch between sections during the test.
