WBJEE Exam Results 2025

The WBJEE 2025 exam results were first expected in late June or early July. However, it has now been delayed due to a Calcutta High Court stay on the revised OBC reservation list and is now likely to be released in late July 2025. Once the results are announced, candidates can check their scores and download their rank cards by visiting the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in. The WBJEE result will include the candidate’s scores, rank, and personal details, and will be available only in online mode as a downloadable PDF rank card.  After the results are declared, qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in the WBJEE counseling process for admission to engineering, pharmacy, and architecture courses across West Bengal. Candidates must keep their rank card safe, as it will be required during counseling and the admission process.

The WBJEE 2025 cutoff will be published on the WBJEEB website after the results and before counseling. It is the minimum score required for admission to undergraduate engineering, pharmacy, and related courses in West Bengal. Cutoff marks vary each year based on factors like the number of applicants, exam difficulty, and seat availability. For 2025, top ranks in premier branches, such as Computer Science at Jadavpur University, may require over 130 marks, while other courses may have lower cutoffs.

The WBJEE cutoff is released for each counseling round and is specific to categories and colleges. Reserved category candidates (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD) typically have lower cutoffs than the general category. Only candidates meeting the cutoff can participate in the counseling and seat allotment process.

WBJEE Preparation Tips & Books

Below are the effective preparation tips for the WBJEE 2025 exam:

  • Know the Syllabus and Exam Pattern: Start by understanding the WBJEE 2025 syllabus for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as the exam pattern, marking scheme, and question distribution.

  • Create an Easy-to-Follow Study Plan: Make a daily and weekly timetable, allocating dedicated time slots for each subject and topic. Stick to your plan and adjust it as needed based on your progress and comfort with different topics.

  • Focus on Conceptual Clarity: Build a strong foundation by studying NCERT textbooks and recommended reference books like RD Sharma (Maths), HC Verma (Physics), and OP Tandon (Chemistry).

  • Practice Regularly: Solve a variety of problems, especially MCQs and numericals, from each topic.

  • Take Mock Tests and Evaluate Performance: Do mock tests and previous years’ question papers under timed conditions. After each test, review your mistakes, identify weak areas, and revise those topics.

  • Don’t Ignore Health: Maintain a healthy routine with adequate sleep, regular exercise, and a balanced diet.

  • Stay Positive and Motivated: Track your progress, set achievable goals, and stay motivated. Avoid last-minute cramming and don’t panic if you come across tough questions.

  • Avoid New Topics Before Exam: In the final weeks, focus on revising what you have already studied rather than picking up entirely new topics, to avoid confusion and stress.
