RRB NTPC Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for RRB NTPC 2025, candidates must meet the following educational qualifications according to the level of the post.

Educational Qualification

  • Graduate Level Posts:- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent.

  • Undergraduate Level Posts:- Candidates must have completed their 12th standard or have a Diploma or equivalent degree from a recognized board or university.

Age Limit

The age limit for RRB NTPC 2025 varies based on the category and level of the post.

  • General Category: 18 to 33 years

  • OBC (Other Backward Classes): 18 to 36 years

  • SC/ST (Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe): 18 to 38 years

  • Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation as per government norms

Minimum Percentage Requirement for Different Categories

The minimum percentage requirement for eligibility in RRB NTPC is:

  • General Category: 50% in the qualifying examination

  • OBC/SC/ST Category: 45% in the qualifying examination

The RRB NTPC 2025 application process started on 14 September 2024 for Graduate posts and on 21 September 2024 for Undergraduate posts. The last date to apply was 20 October 2024 for the Graduate and 27 October 2024 for the UG level. Applicants must complete their forms online on the official Railway Recruitment Board portals, uploading required documents such as scanned photographs and signatures within specified formats. 

The application fee is INR 500 for General and OBC candidates (INR 400 refundable) and INR 250 for SC, ST, PwBD, women, and ex-servicemen candidates (fully refundable after the exam). Timely submission of the application alongside the fee payment is crucial to avoid disqualification. The exams for Graduate-level posts are scheduled from 5 June to 24 June 2025, while the Undergraduate-level CBT 1 exams will be held from 7 August to 9 September 2025. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official RRB website for updates and to download their admit cards, which are generally released four days prior to the exam date.

The RRB NTPC 2025 exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) divided into two stages: Stage 1 (Preliminary CBT) and Stage 2 (Main CBT).

The RRB NTPC 2025 admit card is a very important document for aspirants attending this examination. The admit card is released online on the official RRB website a few days before the date of the examination. Candidates can download the admit card by entering their registration number as well as their date of birth. The admit card contains specific details, including the name of the candidate, roll number, date of examination, venue, and instructions for examination day.
