Candidates should follow these instructions to check online results:

• Visit the official website: https://www.nestexam.in/

• Click on the link named ‘NEST Exam Result 2026'.

• Enter your Roll Number or Application Number. 

• Click on the Show Result tab.

• Download and save the PDF.

• Take a printout of your result and rank for the counselling process.

NEST Exam 2025 Cutoff

To get admission in NISER and UM–DAE CEBS, candidates need to clear the minimum admissible percentile (MAP) to get a merit rank. Candidates who rank below the MAP would not be eligible for admission. To qualify for this examination, candidates need to qualify for the section-wise cutoff too, that is, 20% of the average of the best 100 scores in that section. The SAMS (Section–wise Minimum Admissible Score) for OBC and PWD Candidates is 90% and 50%, respectively.

Here is the minimum Admissible Percentile cutoff for 2025 as per category: 

• The MAP cutoff for the NEST 2025 Exam is 95 percentile for general category candidates.

• The MAP cutoff for the NEST 2025 Exam is 90 percentile for OBC candidates.

• The MAP cutoff for the NEST 2025 Exam is 75 percentile for SC/ST/Divyangjan candidates.

After NEST Exam 2026 Result

As the NEST 2026 result is declared, candidates must download their scorecard from the official website. Based on their rank and preferences, they will be called for the counseling process by the participating universities. During counseling, which is the offline process, candidates need to verify documents, fill in their course choices, and check seat allotment details. Once a seat is allotted, candidates must complete admission formalities like submitting the enrollment form and paying the admission fee. It is important to follow the schedule and instructions issued by the respective universities to secure the seat.
