MET Exam Syllabus 2026

The MET Exam syllabus 2026 is course-specific, meaning each program has its own set of subjects and topics. The syllabus is largely based on the Class 11 and 12 curriculum and includes topics such as Electrostatics, Thermodynamics, Algebra, Calculus, Organic Chemistry, and Reading Comprehension. For postgraduate courses like MTech, the MET entrance exam syllabus focuses on Engineering Mathematics and subject-specific technical topics aligned with the chosen specialization. MET Exam Admit Card 2026

The MET exam 2026 admit card is a vital document released online by the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) in two phases. The admit card for MET Exam Phase 1 is now available from 10 April to 13 April 2026, while for Phase 2, it will be released on 20 May 2026. Candidates need to complete the slot booking process before downloading their admit card. This document contains key details such as the candidate’s name, application number, exam date and time, exam center location, allotted exam slot, and important instructions for the test day.

Also, it is mandatory to carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo ID to the exam center, as entry will be denied without these. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging into the official MAHE portal using their application credentials. After the admit card is issued, no requests for changes in the exam city or center will be allowed.

MET Exam Answer Key 2026

The Manipal Academy of Higher Education does not release official answer keys for the MET exam. Instead, several coaching centers and educational platforms provide unofficial answer keys based on memory-based questions and student feedback after the exam. These resources help candidates estimate their scores and assess their performance while they wait for the official results. Since MAHE generally announces MET results within 1 or 2 days after the exam, candidates do not have to wait long to know their official scores and ranks. Using these unofficial answer keys can be helpful for a quick self-assessment before the official results are published.

MET Exam Results 2026

The MET Exam 2026 Results are expected to be announced on 2nd week of June 2026 for Phase 1, which will be held on 13-14 April 2026 and the Phase 2 exam that is scheduled for 23-24 May 2026. Candidates can check their results by logging into the official MAHE website using their application credentials. The result will display important details such as the candidate’s score, rank, and qualifying status. Following the result announcement, the counseling process is expected to begin in June 2026.

The MET cutoff 2026 will be officially released for all three rounds of counseling on the official website. The cutoff represents the minimum closing rank required for a higher chance of admission to various courses and campuses. For MIT Manipal, the cutoff ranks in 2025 ranged from 583 to 35,385 across different branches. For example, the closing rank for Computer Science Engineering was 3479, for Mechanical Engineering it was 17,037, for Chemical Engineering it was 17,648, and for Civil Engineering it was 25,526. The cutoff varies by course, category, and campus, and is determined by factors such as the number of applicants, exam difficulty, and seat availability. However, candidates must note that meeting the cutoff does not guarantee admission but improves their chances of seat allotment in the preferred program.

How to Prepare for MET Exam 2026 Tips & Books

Here are the simple yet effective preparation tips for the MET exam 2026:

  • Start your preparation by carefully checking the official MET syllabus and exam pattern.

  • Use NCERT textbooks, as MET questions are from the Class 12 syllabus.

  • Attempt full-length MET mock tests and solve previous years’ question papers to get used to the exam format and time constraints.

  • Consistent revision is key for the MET exam. Prepare concise notes, formula sheets, and flashcards for important concepts.

  • Analyze past MET papers to identify topics that appear often or carry higher marks. Prioritize these in your study plan to maximize your score potential.

  • After each mock test, review your answers and focus on mistakes or weak areas. Adjust your study plan to devote more time to these topics, ensuring continuous improvement.
