The KMAT 2025 Exam is scheduled to be conducted on 7 September 2025 for MBA and MCA course admission in Karnataka institutions. The KMAT exam is an online, home-based, remote proctored exam and can be taken from home. Students can take this exam from home on their laptops, but a webcam and microphone are a must. The application window has already closed on 20 August 2025, which was opened from 14 May 2025. To fill out the application, students need to pay INR 850, excluding GST and other charges. Applicants can directly download their admit cards from the official website, which was active from 02 September 2025. The results are generally announced just after a week, and for KMAT 2025, the results will be announced on 15 September 2025.
The KMAT exam is hosted by the KPPGCA, which is commonly known as the Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association. This exam is mainly conducted to fill the management seats in the member private institutions in Karnataka. There are more than 200 management colleges in Karnataka that participate in this exam. To get an idea of the KMAT exam question papers, the authority releases the mock tests of the exam, which contain a similar exam pattern. The mock test papers were uploaded online from 02 to 04 September 2025. This practice will give them an understanding of the recent year of the exam.

- Candidates need to have a UG degree with a minimum of three or four years duration from AICTE-accredited universities.
- Students with having master's degree are also eligible.
- Eligible fields of UG and master's courses include Commerce, Social Sciences, Engineering/Technology Management, Arts, or equivalent disciplines.
- General category students must have at least 50% marks in their UG degree.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories typically require a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
- Students currently in the final year of their Bachelor's degree program can apply.
- At the time of admission, final year students need to submit the passing certificate of their last semester of the UG degree.
For MBA and MCA degree admission in Karnataka, the application forms were released online for all candidates from 14 May to 20 August 2025. The application window closure on 20 August 2025 marked the final date for submission of forms, after which no new applications were accepted. The application forms needed to be filled out within the application window on the official website.
To fill the form, keeping all original documents is important as it requires only correct and updated academic and personal information of the candidates. They should have registered themselves by providing basic details such as name, date of birth, email, phone number, and nationality.
After successful registration and OTP verification, candidates were issued an application number and password, which were used to log in and fill out the detailed application form. Once the registration is done, the application form can be filled out by uploading scanned copies of the required documents. To submit the form INR 850 amount is generally charged to all candidates, but some GST and additional charges may apply.

The KMAT exam pattern includes subjects like language comprehension, mathematical skills, and logical reasoning abilities. This exam has three sections, and each section consists of 40 marks, and the complete paper is a total of 120 marks. For both MCA and MBA, exam patterns are different, while both contain three sections. The MBA course includes Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, and Basic Aptitude. On the other hand, the MCA admission tests include Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, and Logical Reasoning.

The syllabus covers a wide range of topics in Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, and Logical Reasoning, catering specifically to the requirements of MBA and MCA aspirants. The VARC section covers English language topics like reading comprehension passages, grammar, sentence completion, para jumbles, idioms, vocabulary, including synonyms and antonyms, and phrases. The LR section covers topics such as puzzles, syllogisms, analogies, statements, seating arrangements, coding-decoding, blood relations, and conclusion-based questions. For the QA section, most weightage is given to topics like arithmetic topics such as percentages, profit and loss, time and work, algebra- equations and polynomials, geometry, data interpretation (graphs, pie charts, tables), and basic number systems.
KMAT 2025 Admit Card
The KMAT admit card is live from 02 September 2025 till 07 September 2025 on the official account of the KMAT India. The KMAT admit card is for both candidates and the invigilator's purpose, as it has two parts. One part contains all the information that is required for the candidates while taking the test. Information like exam code, roll number, exam details, subjects and photograph of the candidates is there in the PDF of the admit card. Students have to submit these documents during the home-based online proctored exam. The documents should be in a scanned format.

KMAT 2025 Answer Key
The KMAT 2025 Answer Key is an important resource provided by the exam authorities soon after the exam. It contains the correct answers to all the questions asked in the KMAT exam. The answer key is released in two parts: the provisional answer key and final answer key.
