The application form for the DDU entrance exam for the 2025-26 session was released on 26 April 2025 for UG and on 14 May 2025 for PG programs. Candidates can fill out the application form by 25 June 2025. The exam took place from 04 July to 20 July 2025.

To be eligible for the DDU UG entrance exam, Students should have a minimum of 10 + 2 with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized institute. For the DDU PG entrance exam, students should have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 55% marks. To complete the application process, candidates need to pay an amount of INR 1000 to 1500 as an application fee. (Different for General/Sc/St/OBC)

Deen Dayal Upadhyay Entrance exam, famously known as DDU Entrance exam, is conducted by Deen Dayal Upadhyay University, Gorakhpur. It is a state-level entrance exam conducted for admission into UG, PG, and Doctoral programs. DDU Gorakhpur conducts entrance exams for admission into more than 608 affiliated colleges, such as SR Degree College, Baba Raghav Das Medical College, Purvanchal Institute of Dental Sciences, National Post Graduate College, St Andrews College, Badri Narayan Mahavidyalaya, and many more.

Eligibility Criteria for DDU Entrance Exam 2025

To appear for the DDU entrance exam, there are some basic eligibility criteria that need to be fulfilled. These criteria vary for different courses, programs, and specializations. A list of basic eligibility for DDU is given below: - 

• For UG - Candidate should have a minimum of 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks for general and 45% for other classes. 

• For PG - Candidates should have a bachelor degree from a relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks. 

• For Ph.d - Candidates should have graduation as well as post graduation degree from a recognized university and a minimum of 55% marks. 

• There is no age limit for any program. 

(A 5% relaxation is provided for ST/SC and OBC on the minimum marks required.)

Step 4: Fill the OTP that you will receive on your email. Now, you have your registration number. 

Step 5: Log in using the registration number to fill out the application form and select the desired program. 

Step 6: Upload documents required. ( Example, Aadhar Card, Pan Card, ID, etc). 

Step 7: Pay the application fee online using a credit Card/Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI.

DDU Entrance Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

Deen Dayal Upadhyay University conducts its entrance exams in offline mode using pen and paper. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with a total of 150 questions carrying a maximum of 450 marks, where each correct answer awards 3 marks. The number of questions and subjects vary depending on the specific program applied for, such as Agriculture, Science, Commerce, or Law. 

Also, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers in the DDU entrance exams. Candidates preparing for the exam are advised to thoroughly review the syllabus, practice previous years’ question papers, and take mock tests to improve their performance. The exam is conducted at the university campus, and the admit card specifies the exam center details. The marking scheme and question distribution differ by course, but the common pattern is MCQ-based with no penalty for wrong answers

For each correct answer in the DDU entrance exam, students will be rewarded with +3 marks. Meanwhile, for 1 wrong answer, students will lose -1 as a negative marking. It is important to note that, many courses like BCA even can have no negative marking as well. 

• Correct Answer: +4 marks

• Incorrect Answer: -1 mark (negative marking)

• Unanswered Questions: 0 marks

The syllabus for DDU Entrance exam 2025 is different for various UG, PG and Ph.D programs and specializations. The DDU releases the syllabus every year for different courses on their official website. The syllabus contains detailed information of topics and subjects that need to be prepared for the exam. Deen Dayal Upadhyay University, Gorakhpur was released the DDU entrance exam Admit Card 2025 on 01 July 2025 in online mode. An admit card is an essential document to carry on the examination day. Carry at least 2 printouts of the admit card to the examination center. Aspirants can download the admit card from the official website of DDU.  

How to Download Admit Card for DDU Entrance Exam 2025:

Step 1: Visit the official website of DDU

Step 2: Click on the Admission tab and select the admit card. 

Step 3: Fill in your registration number and date of birth.

Step 4: Submit the details and download the admit card successfully.

DDU Entrance Exam Exam centre 

The DDU Entrance Exam 2025-26 will be conducted at multiple exam centers across Uttar Pradesh and nearby regions to facilitate candidates. The exam centers include the following nine cities:

• Bareilly

• Gorakhpur

• Jhansi

• Kanpur

• Lucknow

• Mathura

• Meerut

• Prayagraj

• Varanasi

Candidates are generally offered two choices for their preferred exam center, but at least one choice must be from the core cities of Bareilly, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mathura, Gorakhpur, or Varanasi. The entrance exams for UG and PG courses will be held offline (pen and paper mode) from 27 June 27 to 9 July 2025, at these centers. 

For doctoral (PhD) programs, the exam center details are usually communicated separately during the application process or with the admit card.

The answer key refers to the correct answers of the questions asked in the examination.The DDU itself release the answer key document after the examination. DDU Entrance Exam Result 2025

The result for the DDU Entrance exam was announced on 22 July 2025, online mode on the official website. Students can check their results by filling in their registration number and date of birth. The result usually include your name, marks obtained, score and rank as well. According to the scores obtained, students would be allocated programs and colleges. 

To download the result, students should:- 

• Visit the official website of DDU.

• Select the result section 

• Fill in your credentials, such as registration number and date of birth.

• Save and download the result. 

The cut-off marks for DDU marks was released on 30th and 31st July for UG and PG respectively. The DDU decides certain cut-off marks for different categories such as General, ST, Sc, OBC, and others. According to these cut-off marks, students are admitted into different programs. The university will announce the entrance exam cut-off marks on its official website.

To Clear DDU Entrance exam the most important feature is consistency. It requires regular consistent effort rather than studying once one day in a while. Here are some of the more tips and strategies that one can use to prepare better for the DDU Entrance Exam 2025. 

• Create a study schedule, give proper time slots to every subject, and prioritise subjects that you are weak in and give them some more time and effort. 

• Practice previous year question papers, such as 2024, 2023, and so on, and give mock tests. It will help you understand the difficulty level and pattern of the question paper. And will also help in time management skills. 

• Allocate time per question paper and try completing it in given time. Avoid taking extra time on the practice time and also start with easy question sets and then go for the tougher ones.
