At YBN University, admissions are made available to various undergraduate, postgraduate diploma and PhD programs across its multidisciplinary schools. Mostly, undergraduate admissions take place through YBN University Common Entrance Test (YCET) 2026-27, Still candidates have an option to apply for certain programs like B.Tech and BHMS through their JEE or NEET scores. For the post-graduate admissions, the candidate should have a relevant bachelor's degree. The final process of selecting the candidates would be based on eligibility, merit, and the entrance process.

YBN University Eligibility Criteria 2026

YBN University in Ranchi has set different eligibility requirements for each of its diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degree programs. Candidates seeking admission to most of the undergraduate courses should have completed 10+2 from a recognised board. For professional courses like BHMS, the candidates are required to have studied PCB plus NEET qualification, and B.Tech candidates need to have studied PCM. In general, diploma courses will admit students who have completed class 10 or 10+2, depending on the specialization. PG course candidates should have a relevant bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline. While some courses like MBA require a minimum of 45% marks and M.Pharm requiring 50% aggrigate marks in B.Pharm. The basis criteria of admission to Ph.D. programmes is a relevant postgraduate degree. But, most doctoral programmes require a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination.

YBN University has built a strong placement system with the support of 100+ industry partners and has achieved an excellent overall placement rate in excess of 92%, while many of the academic programmes have recorded placement rates of around 94%. The university boasts an overall average package of INR 5.6 LPA, whereas the Ph.D. in Pharmacy and Ph.D. in Law, which are the best performing programs, secured average packages of INR 15 LPA and M.Pharm graduates obtained INR 12 LPA. YBN University Scholarship Tiers (All Programmes)

YBN University introduces merit-based scholarship tiers that grant tuition fee waivers as a form of incentive to high-performing students. The amounts of the fee waivers awarded to these successful candidates are determined by the percentage of marks they obtained in their qualifying examinations and may range anywhere from 25% to 100%. With these scholarships, the University intends not only to ease the burdened path to obtaining an excellent education but also to motivate students academically at each stage of their learning journey.

YBN University Hostel Facilities

YBN University Ranchi, Jharkhand, offers the hostel as a secure, comfortable and student-friendly living environment for non-local students. Boys' and girls' hostels are separated, with well-maintained accommodation blocks. The boys' hostel comprises Blocks A, B & C, whereas the girls' hostel comprises Blocks D, E & F, each with a capacity of 300 students. According to availability, students can opt for single or double occupancy rooms. The hostel fee for boys and girls is INR 7,000 per month.

The hostels have all the basic facilities necessary for a comfortable stay.
