Unitedworld Institute of Design offers admission to various UG, PG and PhD programmes for students who meet the required criteria. B.Design (Hons.)

• Must have passed class 12 in any stream OR

• Candidates must have completed a 3-year diploma. It should be recognised as equivalent to 10+2 from a recognised board or institute.

M.Design

• Students must have completed a 10+2+3/4-year degree OR

• Hold a 5-year diploma in any stream from a recognised institution/university.

• Admission to the M.Des programme is based on the UID Design Aptitude Test. 

Unitedworld Institute of Design UG Admission 2026

Unitedworld Institute of Design offers B.Design courses in many specialisations for the 2026–27 session. These include Fashion Design, Fashion Communication, Communication Design, Transportation & Mobility Design, etc. Selection for this particular course is based on the UID Design Aptitude Test. The yearly fee for the B.Design programme is INR 6.0 lakh.

Students who want to apply can fill out the form on the official website or visit the campus and apply offline. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have passed Class 12 in any stream. Students with a 3-year recognised diploma (equal to class 12) can also apply. Admissions are currently open, and the last date to fill out an online application form is December 2025 (Tentative). 

Unitedworld Institute of Design PG Admission 2026

The institute offers two PG programmes for the 2026–27 session. Students can choose an MA in Luxury & Brand Management or an M.Design in areas like Fashion Design, Communication Design, Product & Service Design, Interaction Design and Interior & Architecture Design. PG admissions are open, and the last date to apply is December 2025 (Tentative).

For M.Design, students must have a 10+2+3/4 degree or a 5-year diploma from a recognised institute. Admission is based on the UID Design Aptitude Test. The annual fee for the M.Design programme is INR 6.5 lakh.

Unitedworld Institute of Design PhD Admission 2026

Unitedworld Institute of Design offers PhD programmes in both full-time and part-time modes. The PhD is offered in different specialisations, such as Fashion Design, Product Design, Interior Design, Visual Communication, and Automobile Design. The programme is designed for students who want to do advanced research in design. The total tuition fee for the PhD programme ranges from INR 1,65,000 to INR 3,30,000, approximately. Admissions for the PhD programmes are currently ongoing for the general category students, and the last date to apply is December 2025 (Tentative). 

The admission process at UID Ahmedabad for B.Des and M.Des follows four main steps. Students must first check the eligibility rules before applying. UID accepts applications in both online and offline modes. Students can fill out the form on the official website or visit the campus to submit it.

Screening of Applications - UID checks all applications. Students are shortlisted based on their UID DAT entrance exam scores.

Portfolio Review - Shortlisted students must show their portfolio. The team checks creativity, design skills and ideas.

Personal Interaction - After the portfolio review, students attend a personal interaction round. This can happen online or on campus. The final selection is based on overall performance.

The assessment has different parts and carries a total of 100 marks.
