Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University managed by the Gyaprasad Jain Charitable Trust, was established in 2017. It has been approved by the Government of Gujarat under the Gujarat Private University Act No. 10 of 2017. The University is a hub where students can choose to learn from Engineering, Architecture, Design, Science, Management, Paramedical, Agriculture, and other streams.
It is the first of its kind of University in India that promotes startups and encourages young minds to become leading entrepreneurs. Additionally, teaching at Swarrnim also takes place outside the classrooms to help students develop research and academic skills.
Along with this, the university also has a Swarrnim Incubation Centre that has over 60 projects registered for Prototype, over 75 startups incubated, more than 27 patents filed & published, and more.
Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University is associated with various bodies, such as UGC, AICTE, AIU, the Indian Nursing Council, the Council of Architecture, and more. The University also has different schools, such as Swarrnim Institute of Technology, Institute of Design, School of Management, Commerce & Liberal Arts, Science College, Institute of Health Sciences, School of Computing, Institute of Nursing, and others.
Students can choose to study any one of the courses that they want from any one of these schools of the University. Along with this, the University provides facilities, such as hostels that can accommodate more than 200 students with single, double, and triple occupancy. SSIU also offers a bus service that takes them to and from the University.
Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University also has a library with over 32,032 books, over 4,383 books, over 40 print journals, and over 2,005 e-journals. Other facilities include a Cafeteria, an Apple Lab, and a dedicated campus space for indoor and outdoor games. Additionally, the University has a Swarrnim Incubation Centre (SIC), which will help faculty members, staff, research scholars, and students convert their ideas and innovations into businesses.
The University offers its students several courses, such as BBA (Hons), MBA, M.Plan, BCA, BSc-IT, BSc Nursing, BPT, MPT, and more. Students who want to get admission into one of these courses must fill out the online application form, upload the required documents, and pay the application fees.
Furthermore, admission to these courses is based on merit, and students have to make sure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria before applying for any particular course. For example, candidates applying for the BBA course should have passed class 12th with a minimum of 45% marks. Admission for UG, PG, and PhD programmes is ongoing, and the last date to apply for admission to the UG and PG is December 2025 (Tentative), and PhD deadline is 15 December 2025.

If a student wants to get admission into the Swarrnim Startup And Innovation University, they should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
Candidates applying for B.Tech in Computer Engineering should have passed class 12th with a minimum of 45% marks.
For courses such as the BBA (Hons), students should have passed class 12th with at least 45% marks.
Candidates applying for BCA (Hons) should have passed class 12th in any stream from a recognised board.
For the Bachelor of Science course, candidates must have passed class 12th with a minimum of 45% marks in the science stream.
Candidates who want to get admission into the MBA course should have graduated with a minimum of 50% marks in their graduation.
Those who want to get admission into the MSc course should have completed a B.Sc course with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognised university.
The placement cell at SSIU Gandhinagar helps students get job-ready, and they do so by organising sessions to enhance their soft skills. These sessions include group discussions, aptitude tests, special training programs, and more.
