Sri Balaji University is a part of the Sri Balaji Society and gained the status of ‘University’ in 2019. It was founded by Prof. (Dr.) Col. A. Balasubramaniam. The university is known for offering a wide range of courses, such as BA, BBA, BCA, B.Sc, MCA, LLM, MA, Diploma, Certificate, and PhD programs. The University also has over 27 years of experience in Management Education and over 20 MOUs signed with Industry leaders. Sri Balaji University Pune is ranked as the number one best Private University in 2025.
It is also ranked as the best private university in India 2025, 12th among the Top B-Schools for placements in India & 2nd best B-School for placements in Pune 2025. The University is approved by AICTE and is a member of AIU. It is also placed in the NIRF rank band 101-125 in the management category.
Sri Balaji University Pune SBUP campus offers various facilities to its students. These include a library, a snacks corner, a photocopy, a snack corner and a stationery shop. It also has a library, cafeteria, recording studio, hostels, auditorium, computer labs, student clubs, and more.

Sri Balaji University Admission Overview 2026
Sri Balaji University offers a wide range of courses, such as undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, diploma & certifications. Students who fulfil the eligibility criteria can get admission into these courses. Currently, the admission window is open for these courses. Students can fill out the online application form available on the website.
For Undergraduate courses, students need to fill out the online application form, and once their application is reviewed, they will have to appear for a personal interview (PI). For postgraduate courses, students need a Bachelor’s degree and appear for the entrance exam, if required for admission into that particular course.
Lastly, for the PhD programs, students need to appear for the SBUP-PET exam. Candidates who have qualified for the UGC-NET (including JRF), UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF), SET, GATE, and other relevant examinations can directly appear for an interview and viva voce.
Likewise, students who want to appear for the Diploma course can apply online, and eligible candidates will be informed of the schedule of their personal interview.

Sri Balaji University Admission Eligibility Criteria 2026
Students who want to get admission into any of the undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD, and diploma programs offered by Sri Balaji University Pune need to fulfil the eligibility criteria:
Candidates who have passed class 12th with a minimum of 50% marks and have English as a passing subject, or three years diploma course from the Board of Technical Education, conducted by the Government of Maharashtra, or its equivalent.
For courses such as LLB, students need to have graduated with a minimum of 50% of marks (40% marks in case of the reserved category). They also need to appear for any one of the entrance exams, such as CLAT, MAH CET, LSAT, CUET, AILET, or the SBEST LLB test conducted by the University.
Any graduate who has studied Maths in class 12th and passed their graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks.
Students appearing for the LLM course need to be law graduates from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for the reserved category).
Students applying for admission into the PhD program need to have a Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks or its equivalent in grade ‘B’.

Grateful GNR Scholarships
This scholarship is only for the wards of JCOs (Junior Commissioned Officers) and other ranks service/ ex-servicemen from the Artillery regiments of the Indian Army. This scholarship waives the complete academic fee for a total of 8 students (4 girls and 4 boys).
