NIT Manipur Admission 2025
National Institute of Technology Manipur admission 2025 is open for some of the higher-level courses, such as Postgraduate (Non-GATE and Non-IIT-JAM) and PhD level. However, the application forms for the UG and PG courses are closed based on the entrance examination, and students are allotted the seats based on their ranks in the entrance examination, as per the courses required.
Students are required to register for the counselling rounds after getting the qualifying rank in the entrance examination.
Candidates applying to the NIT Manipur B.Tech programs must hold a minimum score of 75% in Class 12th with PCM as the major subjects. Similarly, students who are applying to the Master’s degree level are required to hold 60% of aggregate marks in a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or institute.
The application fee for admission to the NIT Manipur ranges between INR 500 to INR 250 as per the category of the students.

NIT Manipur Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025
Eligibility criteria for admission to the National Institute of Technology cover the major academic qualifications and the entrance examination requirement as per the course and the level of the degree.
For admission to the UG courses (B.Tech) degree, candidates should pass Class 12th with a minimum passing grade of 75% with PCM as compulsory subjects for the general and OBC category, whereas, for the SC, ST and PwD category, the minimum qualification is 65% with PCM as major subjects. Moreover, students must qualify for the JEE (Main) entrance exam as a mandatory requirement.
Admission to the Master’s courses at the M.Tech degree requires a minimum score of 60% to 55% as per the student’s category in Bachelor's degree with relevant subjects, along with GATE entrance score. Similarly, the M.Sc degree requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject with a minimum qualifying score of 60% to 55% with a valid rank in the IIT-JAM entrance examination.
The PhD-level admission to the NIT Manipur requires a valid rank in GATE or NET entrance along with a Master’s degree in relevant subjects with 60% to 55%. For PhD courses, the institute may conduct the written test along with an interview.
