National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) Surathkal is one of the best engineering colleges in India. In the NIRF 2024 Rankings, it has secured 17th position among all engineering colleges.

It was ranked 38th Overall in NIRF Rankings 2023. NIT Surathkal is known for its quality education, best faculty, strong courses, and good placement. Some of its best courses are in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering. The university was also ranked 441 - 450 in the QS World Ranking - Asia in 2023.
