National Institute of Technology (NIT) Surathkal is one of the top engineering institutes of Southern India, located in Mangalore. It was established in 1960 as Karnataka Regional Engineering College (KREC). The institute was renamed as National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) in 2002. NIT Surathkal Admission 2025
The University offers admissions to various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. NIT Surathkal admission for M.Tech and PhD programs started on March 10, 2025, and the last date of application for M.Tech is April 21, 2025, while PhD application ends on April 28, 2025. Students who want to pursue the MBA program will have to pay INR 600 (General Category) and INR 150 (Reserved Categories) as the application fee. For undergraduate (B.Tech) programs, admissions are based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) scores, while for postgraduate (M.Tech) programs, candidates are selected through GATE scores.
