NIT Hamirpur achieved remarkable placement success. Out of 798 eligible BTech students, 736 students got placed in 2024. This gives an overall placement rate of 92.23%. The average package offered was INR 10.58 LPA. These numbers show the institute's commitment to student success.
The highest package of INR 205 lakhs was offered to Mechanical Engineering students. Computer Science Engineering with a 93.27% placement rate. Electrical Engineering achieved a 97.96% placement rate. Some branches, like Civil and Chemical Engineering, show strong performance with 83.09%-99.04%, while Materials Science and Engineering achieved a 100% placement rate. The NIT Hamirpur Placement process is completed in five simple steps. The institute requests various companies to participate in the campus placements in the first place. Once this is done, the firms submit their Job Notification Form (JNF) containing all necessary information. The institute provides the list of suitable students to the companies according to the eligibility criteria as stated. The companies then scan through the profiles and refine students according to their needs. Lastly, the companies visit to the campus often consists of a presentation on the company, online or written test, group discussion sessions, and personal interviews.
