NIT Arunachal Pradesh offers courses such as B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc and PhD. Admission to available courses at NIT Arunachal Pradesh is through national-level entrance exams. For B.Tech, students need to clear the JEE Main exam and take part in JoSAA counselling. Foreign students can apply through the DASA scheme. For M.Tech, admission is based on the GATE exam, and for M.Sc, students must pass the IIT JAM exam.

NIT Arunachal Pradesh offers a wide range of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD programs with specific eligibility criteria for the 2025 session. 

• Admission to the B.Tech program at NIT Arunachal Pradesh is based on JEE Main, followed by JoSAA counselling. A limited number of NRI and foreign students are also admitted as per the Government of India rules. To be eligible, students must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English, with minimum marks as specified by JoSAA.

• To get admission in the M.Tech program at NIT Arunachal Pradesh, students must have a B.Tech degree in a related field with a valid GATE score. Non-GATE candidates can also apply under the Self-Sponsored or Industry-Sponsored categories, depending on seat availability. General, OBC, and EWS candidates need a minimum of 60% marks, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates need 55% marks from a recognised university.

• To get admission into the M.Sc. program, Candidates must have a B.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field. Admission to M.Sc. is mainly through the IIT JAM. Non-IIT JAM candidates can also apply if seats are available. General, OBC, and EWS candidates need at least 60% marks, while SC/ST/PwD candidates are required to have a 55% from a recognised university.

• For the PhD program at NIT Arunachal Pradesh, Candidates must have a Master’s/MS degree in Engineering/Technology with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) from a recognised university.

OR

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/M.Sc/MCA with 75% marks (70% for SC/ST/PwD). Final-year students can also apply, but must submit their final results at the time of admission.

NIT Arunachal Pradesh offers various scholarship programs to support students financially. The scholarships provided in NIT Arunachal Pradesh are Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Minority Students and the Central Sector Scholarship. Additionally, the Institute also has a Scholarship Cell, which manages and facilitates the application process for various scholarships.

• Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Minority Students: Merit-cum-means scholarship is provided to students from minority communities with a family income below INR 2.5 LPA and requires a minimum of 50% aggregate in their previous examination.

• Central Sector Scholarship: Central Sector Scholarship is for first-year B.Tech or M.Tech students and covers multiple components of the fee structure, such as tuition fees, maintenance allowance, and other expenses.
