NIT Arunachal Pradesh Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025
NIT Arunachal Pradesh offers a wide range of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD programs with specific eligibility criteria for the 2025 session.
Admission to the B.Tech program at NIT Arunachal Pradesh is based on JEE Main, followed by JoSAA counselling. A limited number of NRI and foreign students are also admitted as per the Government of India rules. To be eligible, students must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English, with minimum marks as specified by JoSAA.
To get admission in the M.Tech program at NIT Arunachal Pradesh, students must have a B.Tech degree in a related field with a valid GATE score. Non-GATE candidates can also apply under the Self-Sponsored or Industry-Sponsored categories, depending on seat availability. General, OBC, and EWS candidates need a minimum of 60% marks, while SC, ST, and PwD candidates need 55% marks from a recognised university.
To get admission into the M.Sc. program, Candidates must have a B.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field. Admission to M.Sc. is mainly through the IIT JAM. Non-IIT JAM candidates can also apply if seats are available. General, OBC, and EWS candidates need at least 60% marks, while SC/ST/PwD candidates are required to have a 55% from a recognised university.
For the PhD program at NIT Arunachal Pradesh, Candidates must have a Master’s/MS degree in Engineering/Technology with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD) from a recognised university.

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology/M.Sc/MCA with 75% marks (70% for SC/ST/PwD). Final-year students can also apply, but must submit their final results at the time of admission.
