National Institute of Fashion Technology Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to get admission into any of the courses offered by the institute must fulfil the following conditions:

Candidates who want to get admission into the B.Des course should have passed Class 12th from a recognised board. Or students should have a pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination, which is conducted by the National Open School, with at least five subjects.
Those candidates who are applying for the B.F.Tech course, should have passed Class 12th with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
Candidates applying for M.Des or MFM should have done their Bachelor’s in any discipline from a recognised university, or they should have an Undergraduate diploma of three years from NIFT or NID.
For the M.F.Tech course, candidates should have completed their graduation from NIFT or any recognised university. Or they should have a B.E./B.Tech degree from a recognised university.

The Bachelor of Design offered by the NIFT Gandhinagar is a four-year course. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have completed their Class 12 or have a three or four-year diploma degree recognised by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education after secondary examination.
