NICMAR University Overview
NICMAR University Pune was established in 1983, and the University is synonymous with discovery, knowledge, and greatness of the highest order. NICMAR University is recognised as a State Private University by the UGC and accredited by GAC-PMI, which is important for teaching project management courses.
Some of the courses offered by the NICMAR University are BBA, BBA (hons), Integrated MBA, M.Tech, PG Diploma, and PhD. NICMAR University Pune offers its students world-class laboratories and future-focused classrooms. It offers students a top-notch IT system and brilliant medical facilities.
Other facilities include 24x7 security, CCTV surveillance, On-campus wardens, security personnel, and more. NICMAR University’s library has over 26274 books, including Thesis, several bound volumes of journals, compact discs, technical notes, print periodicals, videos & interactive multimedia, and more.

NICMAR University Admission Overview 2026
NICMAR University offers UG, PG, PG Diploma, and Doctoral programs. Students who wish to apply to any of these courses should fill out the online application form. Currently, the admission window is open, and the last date to fill the form for Round 1 admission for the postgraduate courses is 26th January 2026.
Along with filling out the form, students need to pay the application fee of INR 1000 for the UG programs, and INR 2,500 for the PG programs. NICMAR University has its own entrance exam, NCAT. In addition to the entrance exam, if a candidate has a valid score in CUET, MH-CET, CAT, XAT, MAT, NMAT, GRE, GMAT, JEE, SAT, and other exams are taken as an alternative to the NCAT exam. Furthermore, the admission results will be declared by 3rd February 2026, and the students can pay the (1st Installment) by 14th February 2026.

NICMAR University Admission Eligibility Criteria 2026
Students who want to get admission into any of the courses offered by the University should fulfil the following eligibility criteria:
Candidates applying for the B.Tech course should have passed class 12th with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for the reserved category) and studied Physics and Mathematics as core subjects.
Candidates who want to get admission into the MBA in Advanced Construction Management should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Planning from a recognised university. They must have secured a minimum of 50% marks (45% for the reserved category).
If a student wants to get admission into the M.Plan course, they should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the Bachelor of Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, and other fields from a recognised university.
For PG Diploma courses, such as PGDM in Ready Mix Concrete, students need a Bachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for the reserved category). Those students who are in the final year of their graduation can also apply for this course.
The University offers full-time and part-time doctoral programs. Students applying for a PhD need to have a 4-year Bachelor’s degree with 75% marks. Or have a Master’s degree in the relevant field with at least 55% marks.
Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria are shortlisted for a written test and interview. Additionally, candidates who have cleared UGC, CSIR-NET, JRF, GATE, SLET, and SET are exempted from the written test.
NICMAR University Placement

For the year 2023-24, students were offered the highest package of INR 25.09 LPA, and the domestic average salary package was INR 8.13 LPA.
