Admissions for the 2025 academic year at Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, are currently underway. The university is accepting applications for various programs, which include BA LLB, MBA, LLM, PG Diploma, and PhD. Interested candidates must meet the eligibility criteria and submit their applications through the official university portal. The admission process includes entrance exams such as CLAT for BA LLB and LLM courses, and CAT, CMAT, XAT, or MHCET for MBA. For PhD courses, candidates must qualify through NET, SET, JRF, or the university’s own PAT exam, followed by a personal interview.

• MBA: 55% (45% for reserved students) in a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a valid CLAT(PG)/ CMAT/ XAT/ CAT/ MHCET score. 

• PhD: LLB/ LLM or an equivalent Master’s degree with a minimum of 55% in and a valid score of NET/ SET/ JRF or PAT, written test, and a personal Interview.

NOTE: PhD-seeking students will be exempted from PAT if they have a NET/ SET/ JRF score.

Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, provides BA LLB, an Integrated UG course of 5 Years.  Admission to the UG course will be based on the obtained marks in Class 12 and a valid CLAT score. The admission for BA LLB is open now. 

The tuition fees for Maharashtra students and other state students will vary. Candidates having a Maharashtra domicile will have to pay INR 58,061, and students who are from other states will have to pay INR 77,241 as tuition fees, which will be charged per semester.

Admission is strictly based on CLAT scores, followed by centralised counselling. Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai has several PG courses to offer, including LLM, LLM (for Executives), MA, MBA, and PG Diploma. The LLM program requires a valid CLAT-PG score and a minimum of 50% marks in LLB or equivalent. The MBA program accepts scores from CLAT-PG, CMAT, XAT, CAT, or MHCET, and requires 55% marks in a relevant bachelor’s degree. The university also offers one-year executive courses and PG Diplomas for working professionals. Admission is merit-based and includes entrance exams. The annual tuition fee for the LLM course is INR 40,876 for Maharashtra residents, and for students who are from another state, the tuition fee is INR 54,502 annually. The MBA per-semester fee is INR 1,25,000, and the total course fee is INR 5,00,000

Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, offers a two-year MBA course in Management, which also incorporates Law studies. Admission will be granted to students who have at least 55% in a BBA or an equivalent Bachelor’s degree and have a valid CLAT-PG, CMAT, XAT, CAT, or MHCET score. The course fee is INR 5,00,000, but the university charges INR 1,25,000 per semester (every six months), for two years.

Admissions for MBA course is in process. Applicants, if eligible, can apply before the due date. The application fee is INR 2,600, but students applying before 31 July 2025 can avail of an early bird discount and pay INR 2,000.
