Millia Institute of Technology (MIT) Purnea is the first private engineering college in the Seemanchal Region. It was established in 1989 by the Millia Educational Trust. It is affiliated to Purnea University. The institute is recognised by AICTE and accredited by NAAC with ‘C’ Grade. It has also been accredited by the NBA.

The college offers a total of Nine UG, PG, and Undergraduate Diploma programs, including Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc. Courses such as BE/BTech, MBA/PGDM, MCA, etc., are offered by Millia Institute of Technology.
