For Engineering and Management the admission procedure is merit based. For B.Tech, the admission depends on the entrance exam KLEEE and the lateral entry individuals may apply using KLECET. The aspirants of the management must take the KLMAT test. KL Deemed to be University has eligibility requirements, which are based on a course that a student desires to pursue. BTech students have to take 12 th class with a compulsion of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and generally require a minimum of 60 percent marks. They should also be eligible to take a test like KLEEE or JEE Main. In other courses such as BA, BBA, BCom, BCA or BSc, students are required to complete a 12 th standard of a known board, usually with a mark of about 55%. Admission can be accompanied by a test or interview at the university.
For postgraduate courses the requirements are different. To apply for an MBA students must have a bachelor’s degree in any subject with at least 55% marks and they may need to take exams like KLMAT, CAT, MAT or XAT followed by an interview. MTech students should have a BTech or BE degree in a related field with about 55% marks. Similarly, for MSc students must complete a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject with around 55% marks. Overall the university requires students to meet the basic academic marks and, for some programs, clear entrance exams or interviews before admission.
