

The Placement Cell at the Kanpur Institute of Technology plays an important role in helping students get jobs. It is responsible for connecting with companies, inviting them to campus placements, and ensuring that the students get placed in some of the top companies in their preferred fields.

Along with the placement and training cell, the Institute also has a Skill Development cell. The main aim of this cell is to help students gain skills through various training programs. The cell focuses on the principle of SAT: Soft Skills, Aptitude, and Technical Skills. Below is a brief explanation of these:
Soft Skills Training
With the help of this training, students can enhance basic skills such as communication skills, social etiquette, and more. The cell provides insights into the corporate do’s and don’ts, guiding them about dressing, emailing, & telephonic etiquette, communication skills, and more. This helps students become more confident to sit in the placement drive.
Aptitude Training
Through this training, the cell focuses on enhancing the students' aptitude skills, making sure that the students qualify for the eligibility tests for various companies. Moreover, the training helps students enhance their quantitative aptitude, verbal ability, logical reasoning, and related fields.
Technical Training
Apart from the skills training and aptitude training, the skill development cell also organises detailed sessions to enhance their technical skills related to language and programming.
These include sessions related to C, C++, Java, Python, Autocad, and many other fields of importance. It not only makes the students placement-ready but also helps them crack competitive qualifier tests such as eLitmus, TCS NQT, and more.
Along with this, the Skill Development cell also organises on-campus and off-campus training. These trainings are based on courses, which offer practical knowledge to the students. Some of the courses organised by the skills include Autodesk Online course, Autodesk Inventor, C-Language, C++, HCL Workshop, and more. Whereas, some of the off-campus training is held at some of the prestigious organisations, such as NIIT, New Horizon, ICTe, MCS Geotech, TWC Web creation, Future Academy, QMS Soft Tech, and more.
