Jawaharlal Darda Institute of Engineering and Technology is a privately owned, autonomous engineering college in Yavatmal, Maharashtra. It is a college of technology attached to the Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University and was founded in 1996 by the Jawaharlal Darda Education Society. The institute is accredited by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and has been rated as an A grade by the government of Maharashtra Directorate of Technical Education (DTE).
The college boasts of a good academic program and advanced facilities spread across an area of 17 acres. JDIET has several undergraduate Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree programs with specialization in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Science, and Textile Engineering. B.Tech is a 4-year course with a 360 intake capacity. B.Tech programs of Jawaharlal Darda Institute of Engineering and Technology are admitted mainly based on the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) of Maharashtra State CET Cell. This is done to Maharashtra State candidates as well as All India candidates. There is also an Institute Level quota in the institute where applicants may apply directly to the institute.
The whole process of admission is open and follows the principles of the Admission Regulating Authority and State CET Cell. The candidates are selected on the basis of their merit in the MHT CET or JEE Main entrance test. In order to be eligible to take B.Tech., a candidate has to be an Indian citizen and has to have passed their Class 12 or equivalent examination. To qualify as first-year students, students must have enrolled in Physics and Mathematics as mandatory courses with an additional one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational Subject (TVS), CS, Information Technology, Informatics Practices (IP), Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, or Business Studies.
Students should have obtained a minimum of 45 percent marks in these subjects altogether (40 percent in reserved categories in Maharashtra). Besides, the candidates should score good percentile marks in either the MHT CET or the JEE Main entrance exam. Direct second-year admissions require candidates to have a three-year diploma in the engineering field with 45 percent marks.
The student in the General category must have 45 percent (40 percent in the Reserved category) in PCM or PVM in Higher Secondary Schooling.
After this, the students are required to take and pass a state- or national-level examination like MHT-CET or JEE with a good score.
Lastly, attend the Personal Interview round following the selection.
The direct admission to the second year of engineering is done as per the instructions of the State CET Cell and the Admission Regulating Authority.
A general category student must have 45 percent in their Diploma course, but a reserve student must have 40 percent in their Diploma.
The institute provides a four-year full-time Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree. In the first year, there are a total of 6 engineering disciplines with an intake of 390 seats approved by the college. Computer Science & Engineering has an intake of 120 and 60 students, respectively, in the other three groups, such as Civil, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication, and Mechanical Engineering. The seat of Textile Engineering is 30.
Admission is done via a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) by the Maharashtra State CET Cell or by the institute through its own admission process for a small number of seats. The candidates have to possess a valid score of either the MHT CET or the JEE Main entrance examination in order to be eligible. The shape is not a direct download of the JDIET site of the CAP rounds; the contenders adhere to the online process of the State CET Cell. In the case of Institute Level admission, applicants have to apply independently to the institute by filling in an inquiry form on the JDIET site. The application is done using the internet, then uploading the documents and paying the required fees.
Step 1: The Student should obtain a login ID and password by registering online at the official site of the State CET Cell based on the timetable.
Step 2: Register all the necessary documents and pay the Application fee.
Step 3: Finish Physical document verification at the Scrutiny Centre / E-Scrutiny Centre.
Step 4: Search the merit number in the published merit list.
Step 5: Clearing of Grievances at SC / e-SC, where applicable.
Step 6: Review the final list of merit and complete the Option Form.
Step 7: The allotment should be checked and then reported to the Admission Reporting Center, where the seat acceptance fees are paid, and the admission is confirmed to continue with further rounds.
Step 10: At last, report to the last assigned institute, present the original documents and fees, and complete the formalities of admission.
