Industrial Trainings conducted by the IITM Janakpuri

The institute conducts industrial visits for the students to learn from the practical experience during their coursework. Through these efforts done by the institute, enrolled students here are actually able to learn on the go. It has conducted the industrial visits in the past year to the workplaces of- Network Bulls-Cisco (also referred to as Network Bulls), Relaxo Footwear Limited, Mother Dairy Plant (also referred to as Mother Dairy (P) Ltd), Yakult Danone India Ltd. (also referred to as Yakult Danone India (P) Ltd), Barclays Noida (also referred to as Barclays), Safexpress Logistics Park, Parliament of India (Lok Sabha Secretariat), Amul Industries, Parle Biscuits Pvt. Ltd. (Noida) etc. 

IITM Janakpuri Industry Interface

The Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC) at IITM was set up in 2004 to strengthen collaboration between the institute and the industry. Its main role is to understand what industries expect and prepare students accordingly by arranging internships, seminars, workshops, placements, and training programs. The cell also helps faculty stay updated with the latest practices, ensuring students are exposed to real-world industry standards and become job-ready. By focusing on skill development and adaptability to new technologies, IIPC creates opportunities for students to meet industrial demands. The cell actively engages with leading companies to build partnerships for the future. Alongside this, the Central Training and Placement (T&P) Cell works to support students’ career goals and connect them with organizations that conduct campus interviews, making the placement process smooth and effective.

The main objectives of the Central Training and Placement (T&P) Cell are below:

• Arrange industrial training for both students and faculty.

• Find opportunities for students to do project work in industries.

• Encourage departments to form tie-ups or MoUs with industries for mutual benefit.

• Improve teaching and learning through industry visits and training.

• Invite industry experts for guest lectures, seminars, and knowledge sharing.

• Help industries select suitable candidates through campus interviews and guide students in their careers.
