The Institute of Information Technology & Management, Janakpuri was officially established in the year 1999 through the charitable efforts of Mata Leelawati Shikshan Sansthan (MLSS). The institute is located at the address of Institutional Area, Janakpuri, New Delhi. IITM Janakpuri is a renowned institute in terms of the educational quality provided on campus.
The institute is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi. It has been accredited with an ‘A’ Grade by NAAC and rated as Category ‘A+’ by the State Fee Regulatory Committee (SFRC). The Joint Assessment Committee (JAC), Govt. of NCT of Delhi, has also given it the highest rating of Category ‘A’. Additionally, the institute is recognized under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. The IITM ranked as one of the top 50 business schools by the Times B School Rankings.
IITM offers AICTE-approved MBA and MCA programs, along with GGSIPU-affiliated courses such as BBA, B.Com (H), BCA, and BA (JMC) in the fields of management, commerce, computer applications and media studies. All these programs follow the quality standards set by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), under the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
The admission to these courses at the institute is largely based on entrance tests either conducted by or accepted by the university. For a majority of undergraduate courses, students are selected through the Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET) and the admission process is followed by centralized online counselling. In case of seat vacancies, admission can also be done based on the CUET merit list.
The fee structure varies from one programme to another. The yearly fee stands at around INR 1,44,500 for B.Com (Hons.), INR 1,47,800 for BCA, INR 1,49,900 for BBA, and approximately INR 2,21,900 yearly for the MBA and MCA programme. Moreover, depending on the course, there may be some university and security charges added.
The institute is spread across 617 acres of land, making it a part of the Guindy National Park. The IITM is equipped with an IT-enabled infrastructure that helps students to learn about the changing world in the contemporary era. The institute has all basic amenities, such as ICT-enabled AC lecture theatres, computer centre, library, auditorium, meditation room, etc.
For placement purposes, the institute had established the Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC), with the aim of strengthening the collaboration between industry and the institute. The application process for admission to the UG and PG courses at IITM Janakpuri is already in process. The admissions in UG Programs such as BBA, BCA, B.Com and BA JMC are done through the CET and CUET entrance exam. The application forms for these exams will be released at the start of March 2026 (tentative), and the last date for submitting the application form could be the last week of March 2026 (tentative). Students who achieve the maximum score in CET or CUET entrance test are eligible for college counselling for seat allotment.
Whereas the college invites the application forms in the PG Program through CAT (Common Admission Test), CMAT, for MBA and NIMCET/CET/CUET for MCA program counselling. If seats are open in the PG programs, the college holds an entrance exam and a personal interview for admission.
Along with this, candidates are also required to have a 10+2 for a bachelor's course and a bachelor's degree for a master's degree, with 50% of marks, respectively, in the relevant discipline. Candidates from reserved categories receive a 5% mark concession on their bachelors degree scores.

A wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs are offered by the BBA, BCA, B.Com, MBA, MCA, and more. Before enrolling in any Program at IITM Janakpuri, candidates are advised to check the requirements first.
For the undergraduate Program BBA(hons), BCA(hons), B.Com (hons) and BA JCM, completed 12th with 50% academic marks, CET, CUET exam, followed by college counselling.
Admission to the PG Program is done through CAT, CMAT, NIMCET/CET/CUET counselling. The college also conducts a written test and a personal interview (if seats are vacant). A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with 50% of marks (general category) and 45% for the reserved category is required.
The college placement and Training Cell plays an important role in preparing the students to face the challenges of the IT sector by providing practical exposure to the field. The rigorous curriculum, internships, hackathons, industry projects, and skill-building workshops help the students to enhance their skills.
It actively collaborates with different companies in the industry, like ICICI Bank, Accenture, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Jaro Education, etc., providing more employment opportunities to the students. The highest package offered to the students was INR 12.80 LPA, and the average package stood at INR 4.88 LPA. After completing graduation from IITM Janakpuri, 70% of students got placed in the multinational brands of the industry.
IITM Janakpuri is determined to make its BBA/BCA/BCom (H) programme as a terminal programme, after course completion the students can opt for a range of jobs. The Pre-Placement preparation classes are organized here on campus to prepare the students for campus placements. In the first year of their graduation, Placement Orientation Session is organised for all students to make them aware about the current job opportunities.
The college provides different scholarship schemes to the meritorious and deserving candidates. Apart from this, candidates of the IITM Janakpuri, can also apply for the external scholarships provided by the Indian government, which include the "National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students”. Under this scheme financial assistance is provided by the ministry as per scheme norms.
