IIT Ropar has a high placement record with its Career Development and Placement Cell (CDPC), offering various placements, internships, and PPO opportunities to students in various areas. The institute is famous for being the first IIT to introduce a 6-month additional internship program and the Joint Master Thesis (JMT) program for industry collaboration.
IIT Ropar Placement
During the placement session 2024-25, 232 students were successfully placed with leading companies. IIT Ropar offers both mandatory summer internships of a minimum of 40 working days and optional winter internships throughout the academic year. The institute's unique 8th semester internship option allows students to gain extensive industry experience before graduation.

Companies submit the Job Announcement Form (JAF) for full-time roles or the Internship Notification Form (INF) for internships.
Eligible students can register for the opportunity on the official website. The list of registered candidates will be shared with the company.
Hiring dates will be mutually decided in coordination with the T&P Cell.
May include a Pre-Placement Talk, Online Test, Group Discussion, and/or Interviews.
Interview rooms, audiovisual setups, and computer labs are available.
