IIIT Nagpur offers various programs including B.Tech, M.Tech, PG Diploma and PhD. Centralised counselling and national entrance exams (JEE Main, GATE, etc) determine admission to these programs. Candidates must pass JEE Main, followed by JoSAA or CSAB counselling, in order to be admitted to IIIT Nagpur for the B.Tech program. Admission to the M.Tech program is determined by a valid GATE score and is completed through the CCMT counselling process. Candidates for PhD programs are chosen by the institute through an interview and a written exam.

B. Tech
Candidates must complete Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their primary subjects to get admission to the B.Tech Program. Additionally, they need to have a valid JEE Main score and must go through the JoSAA counselling process.
M. Tech
To get admission to the M.Tech program, candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university in a related field.
Candidates who have completed a Post Graduate Diploma in a related field may also apply for the M.Tech (ICT) program.
A valid GATE score is required for admission, and seat allocation is done through Centralised Counselling for M.Tech (CCMT).
PG Diploma
IIIT Nagpur offers a PG Diploma in Information and Communication Technology. To get admission into the PG Diploma, candidates are required to score a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in a bachelor’s degree.
PhD
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in a relevant field from an accredited university to be admitted to the IIIT Nagpur PhD program.
Candidates must appear for the IIITN phd entrance exam and have a minimum of 40% marks along with a valid GATE score.
