IIIT Nagpur Admission Process
IIIT Nagpur provides multiple undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in fields of engineering technology and research. Exams like JEE Main and GATE are the core national-level entrance tests that are required for admission in the academic year 2025–26. JEE Main registration for B.Tech admission was open from 31 January 2025 to 24 February 2025, and JoSAA counselling took place from 3 June 2025 to 12 June 2025. The CCMT registration period for M.Tech programs was from 14 May 2025 to 4 June 2025. The document verification and CSAB special rounds will take place from 6 August 2025 to 22 August 2025. Candidates who are interested must apply through the respective portals and the candidate must upload the necessary documents, and finish the admissions process by the given timeline.
IIIT Nagpur Admissions 2025
Admissions are open for a number of UG, PG and PhD programs at IIIT Nagpur, which include B.Tech, M.Tech, and PhD programs in streams like computer science, electronics and communication, and related fields. JEE Main is compulsory for admission to B.Tech programs, and then JoSAA or CSAB counselling is conducted. Admission to M.Tech programs is determined by a valid GATE score, IIITN PhD entrance test, followed by CCMT counselling. Candidates then appear for an in-person interview administered by IIIT Nagpur to be admitted to the PhD program.

IIIT Nagpur Eligibility Criteria 2025
Undergraduate: Candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 75% (65% for the reserved category) marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their primary subjects to be admitted to the IIIT Nagpur B.Tech program. Depending on the candidate's rank in JEE Main, seats are allocated through JoSAA or CSAB counselling.
Postgraduate: Candidates must have a B.Tech degree in a relevant field with at least 60% marks for general category candidates and 55% for SC/ST candidates to get admission in the M.Tech program. A valid GATE score is required for admission, followed by the CCMT counselling. Students who have done a Post Graduate Diploma in a related field may also apply for the M.Tech (ICT) program.
PhD: Candidates must have a Master's degree in the relevant field with at least 60% marks and 55% for SC/ST to apply to the IIIT Nagpur Ph.D. program. Candidates must have a valid GATE score. The candidates are also required to attempt the IIITN PhD entrance test and score a minimum of 40% marks, followed by an interview.
IIIT Nagpur UG Admissions 2025
IIIT Nagpur offers a four-year full-time B.Tech program in fields like Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) for the 2025-26 academic year. The candidate's JEE Main score determines admission to the B.Tech program and counselling from JoSAA or CSAB. Candidates must have completed Class 12 with 75% (65% for the reserved category) marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
IIIT Nagpur PG Admissions 2025
For the 2025–2026 academic year, IIIT Nagpur offers full-time M.Tech programs with specialisations in information and communication technology (ICT). A B.Tech degree in a relevant field with at least 60% marks (55% for SC, ST candidates) and a valid GATE score is required for M.Tech applicants. CCMT counselling is used for admission seat allocation in the MTech program at IIIT Nagpur. Candidates may also apply for the M.Tech (ICT) program within the allotted time frame if they have done a postgraduate diploma in the relevant field.
IIIT Nagpur PhD Admissions 2025
IIIT Nagpur offers PhD programs in the field of Engineering and Computer Science for the academic year 2025–26. Admissions to the PhD program are held twice a year. Candidates can choose from a range of specialisations such as electronics & communication engineering and Computer Science & engineering / IT. To apply, candidates must have a Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates), along with a valid GATE score. All the candidates are required to appear for the IIITN PhD Entrance test and personal interview.
