IIIT Dharwad Eligibility Criteria
IIIT Dharwad accepts admission on either merit or a national-level entrance exam score basis, followed by an interview. The basic eligibility criteria for admission that a student must follow is:
Class 12 PCM with a minimum of 75% for BTech.
BE/ BTech or equivalent in the relevant field for MTech/ MTech (R).

IIIT Dharwad, being one of the newly established IIITs, offers only BTech as its UG programs in several specialisations like AI, Data Science, Statistics, CE, etc. Admissions to UG programs at IIIT Dharwad are expected to start soon, as JEE Main exam results have been declared.
Students are required to pay an admission fee of INR 21,500 during the admission process. The total fee may reach up to INR 2,90,000, which includes tuition fee for one semester, admission fee, hostel and mess charges, along with security deposits.

IIIT Dharwad offers MTech and MTech by Research at the PG level in many disciplines like AI, Data Science, CSE, ECE, CE, Statistics, etc. IIIT Dharwad conducts MTech (R) admissions throughout the year. A candidate must fulfil the basic eligibility criteria of a BE/ BTech or equivalent in the relevant field with a minimum 60% aggregate. Candidates must pay a one-time amount of INR 21,500 as the admission fee. The total cost for the PG course can range between INR 88,500 to INR 1,88,500 per semester.
IIIT Dharwad MTech Admission 2025
IIIT Dharwad has started offering MTech course in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence via online mode with a choice to back out and re-enter. Admissions for PG courses are conducted throughout the year; candidates willing to pursue MTech can apply on the IIIT Dharwad’s official website.
didates are required to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria, i.e., a BE, BTech, MSC, or MCA degree with a minimum of 60 % or 6 CGPA. Candidates having a valid GATE score can directly appear for the interview. Candidates need to pay INR 2,000 as the application fee along with an admission fee of INR 21,500 and the tuition fee of INR 88,500. The new batch will start from 25 May 2025.
IIIT Dharwad PhD Admission 2025
Admission into IIIT Dharwad for PhD program requires an MTech, ME, MS, or equivalent degree in the relevant field with at least of 65% or 7 CGPA. Candidates having an exceptional academic background with a BE/ BTech and research experience will be considered for PhD admissions followed by written test and interview.
