Jigyasa University, formerly known as Himgiri Zee University, was founded by Taleem Research Foundation in 2003. Himalayan Zee University is renamed as Jigyasa University under the Uttarakhand Private University Amendment Act 2024. Jigyasa University is located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The university has received statutory approvals from the Bar Council of India, University Grants Commission, National Council for Teacher Education, and Pharmacy Council of India.
Jigyasa University offers undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, and Diploma courses through various schools, including management, law, commerce, humanities, Science and Technology, Business Studies, Journalism and Mass Communication, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Legal Studies, etc. The courses covered under these programs are B.Tech, M.Tech, BBA, BJMC, MJMC, BHM, DHM, and many more.

Jigyasa (Himgiri Zee) University admission is open for the academic session 2025-26 for the various courses. Jigyasa University offers a wide range of programs to students at undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate, diploma, and doctoral levels. Some of the popular courses are BA.LLB, B.Tech CSE, M.Tech, MSc, PhD, D.Pharm, B.Com, etc. Admission to these courses is based on merit. Students who are interested in the undergraduate programs must have completed their Class 12 with a minimum qualifying mark, and for postgraduate courses, candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with a minimum qualifying mark. The eligibility criteria for every program vary.
The application form will be released tentatively in the month of November-December 2025, whereas the last date to pay the application fee is 30 December 2025. The fee structure of Jigyasa University is different for each other based on program. The annual fee ranges between INR 11,000 and INR 1,90,000.

Jigyasa (Himgiri Zee) University Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025
Jigyasa University offers numerous courses at undergraduate, certificate, diploma, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. Every course and program has its own specific has its own eligibility criteria
For the undergraduate programs, Students must have passed Class 12 from a recognised board with a minimum qualifying mark.
Students with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline can apply for the postgraduate program.
For a doctoral program, students must have a master's degree in a relevant subject with at least 50% - 55% of marks in the relevant discipline from a recognised university.
Students are required to pass Class 12 in any stream for a 6-month certificate program.
Students should have passed Class 10 and Class 12 from a recognised board for the diploma program.

Jigyasa (Himgiri Zee) University Scholarships 2025
Jigyasa University offers scholarships to meritorious and financially weak students. The scholarships are based on committee recommendation. The scholarships are divided based on the qualifying exam percentage. If the students have 95%-100% in the qualifying examinations, then they are eligible to get a 100% scholarship on their tuition fees. If the student has a 90%–95% then they would get a scholarship of 60% on tuition fees. Students with a percentage range between 80.01%-90%, then the scholarship of 40% on the tuition fee is awarded.
Other scholarships available at Jigyasa University, which are given on the basis of state UK domicile scholarship, defence personnel, girl child, employee spouse and child, SC/ST/OBC, differently abled, EWS, and sports scholarships. These scholarships are given every year to students. Though the scholarship given to the sibling of an already existing student would only be given for the first year. That scholarship would only be for 10% of the tuition fee.
Students at Jigyasa University can avail only one scholarship at a time. The students who got the scholarship have to maintain a minimum of 7.0 CGPA and 75% attendance to stay eligible for the scholarships in the upcoming semesters as well. If a student is found indulging in any illegal activity or gets a backlog in exams, their scholarship will be discontinued immediately. Also, students belonging to Signiwala village will get an additional 10% scholarship.
