Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions Admission Overview
Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions provides a wide range of courses in Law, Management, Engineering and Technology, Education, Pharmacy, etc. The institute accepts admission to these courses based on academic marks and scores obtained in the entrance test conducted at the national level.
Apart from that, candidates are required to meet the basic eligibility requirement, which is to have passed Class 10 or 12 for Diploma courses, have a qualified score in Class 12 for UG courses, and have a Bachelor’s degree for PG courses.

Admission at HGPI Sirmaur or HGPI Kala Amb was started in June 2025, for the academic session 2025-2026 in several courses such as BTech, BBA, BPharma, MBA, MPharma, BEd, D El Ed, GNM, etc. Admission will be based on merit and entrance exams such as CAT, MAT (AIMA), CMAT, JEE Main, D El Ed CET, etc., or university-level such as HPCET.
Candidates who wish to apply to HGPI for Management courses such as BBA and MBA need to apply before the end date, which is 31 July 2025 (Tentative). The application form will be available either on the institute’s official website or can be acquired physically by visiting the institute.
NOTE: 15% seats are allotted for admissions based on the Management quota.

Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions Eligibility Criteria
At the Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions, many courses are offered at UG, PG, and Diploma levels, which require a minimum eligibility criterion that a student must fulfil.
The basic requirement is to have a qualified score in Class 10+2 and a Bachelor’s. But every course has a specific criterion that is given below:
BTech: Candidates must have passed Class 12 in Mathematics and Physics. (Chemistry, Biology, and Biotechnology as additional subjects) with 45% marks, along with a valid score in JEE Main.
BPharma: Candidates must hold a minimum of 45% in their Senior Secondary School, i.e., in Class 12.
MPharma: Must have BPharma from a recognised board, which is approved by the PCI (Pharmacy Council of India).
D Pharma: Must have completed their Class 12 from a Science background (Medical or Nonmedical), with at least 40%.
BBA: Applicants need to have at least 45% in Class 12 from a recognised board.
MBA: Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% and a valid CAT, MAT (AIMA), CMAT, or HPCET score.
BSc Nursing: A minimum of 45% in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as major subjects and entrance exam score.
BCA: Candidates need to have a minimum of 40% in their Class 12 from a recognised board.
BEd: Need to have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and must have a qualified score in the BEd entrance examination.
D El Ed: Must have passed Class 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 50% and a valid D El Ed CET score. Must be a Himachal Pradesh resident.

HGPI Sirmaur at UG level offers BTech, BBA, BSc Nursing, BPharma, BEd, LLB, BA LLB, and BCA in multiple specialisations such as Computer Science Engineering, ME, Civil Engg., Marketing, Human Resource Management, etc. Admission to most of the courses is based either on merit or entrance exam scores.
Admission will be granted to students who meet certain eligibility criteria, that is, having a passing mark in Class 12 at most and a valid score in the entrance exam if needed. The eligibility percentage will vary depending on the chosen course, and reserved candidates will get eligibility percentage relaxation.
For instance, to get admission for a BTech course, candidates will be required to have 45% in Maths and Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Biotechnology, and a valid JEE Main or HPCET score.
Admission to LLB and BA LLB will strictly follow the merit of the candidate. Candidates who wish to pursue these courses will need Class 12 marks with at least 45% and 50%, respectively.
The total tuition fee of any UG course will range from INR 1,20,000 to INR 3,55,000, and the registration fee will be INR 10,000.
BBA Admission 2025
BBA is a three-year course offered at the UG level in Management that covers a diverse range of disciplines such as Marketing, Human Resource Management, etc. For BBA admission, students must have passed or completed Class 12 with at least 45% marks from a recognised board (40% for reserved categories). The tuition fee for the BBA program is INR 1,20,000.

HGPI, Sirmaur at the PG level provides an MBA in Management and, MPharma in Pharmacy. These offered courses at HGPI can be completed in a minimum duration of two years. The eligibility criteria and fee structure will differ accordingly. But the basis will be having a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum required percentage and a valid entrance exam score, such as CAT/ MAT (AIMA)/ CMAT or HPCET for MBA. The total tuition fee for PG courses lies between INR 1,39,000 and INR 2,85,520, while the registration fee will cost INR 10,000.
MBA Admission 2025
The School of Management at HGPI provides an MBA as a PG course, which is a two-year course, available in multiple streams such as Marketing, Business Analytics, Human Resources Management, etc. To be accepted for an MBA, a candidate must have either a BBA or an equivalent Bachelor’s degree with an aggregate of 50% and a valid score in national entrance tests such as MAT(AIMA), CMAT, CAT or HPCET conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University. The total tuition fees for the MBA is NR 1,39,000. Admissions are open. Eligible candidates can fill out an application form before the last date, which is 31 July 2025 (Tentative).

HGPI Kala Amb or HGPI Sirmaur also offers Diploma courses to students who have cleared their Class 10 or Class 12 Studies. The admission criteria is either merit or an entrance exam. Offered courses include a D El Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) a two-year course, D Pharma, a two-year course, and General Nursing and Midwifery, a three-year course. The institute also provides sponsored and non-sponsored courses to Himachal Pradesh students. Admissions are going on, and if eligible, candidates can apply before the deadline. The total tuition fee for a Diploma course ranges from INR 62,814 to INR 2,67,750 depending on the chosen course.
