

Godavari Global University (GGU) is a well-known university in Andhra Pradesh. It was established in 1998 as the Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET). Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology grew over the years and became Godavari Global University GGU in 2024. Today, GGU is an important education hub in the state. The university serves more than 10,000 students from 15 Indian states and 13 different countries.
GGU is known for its 26 years of outstanding academic excellence. It has received NAAC A++ accreditation with a score of 3.58 out of 4. GGU is recognised under Sections 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act, 1956. This recognition allows the university to work with foreign universities for student exchange and research programs. Godavari Global University has four foreign collaborations. These are the University of California, Berkeley, USA, Staffordshire University, UK, RWTH Aachen University, Germany, and the German Varsity of Advanced Studies, Germany. The partnerships help students with study abroad programs, joint research, and global skills.

Godavari Global University offers a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs for the 2026 academic session across its specialised schools in computing, Engineering, Sciences, Pharmacy, and Health Sciences. Interested students applying for any of these courses must ensure they are under eligibility criteria. Admissions are currently open, and candidates can fill out the application online. This university conducts its own entrance exam, called GGUCET (GGU Common Entrance Test), for admission into various programs. It also accepts state and national-level scores such as AP EAPCET for B.Tech and B.Sc courses, AP ICET for MBA and MCA, and GATE or AP PGECET for M.Tech programs. For the 2026 session, AP EAPCET engineering exams are scheduled for May 12–18, 2026.
GGU offers several programs with varying academic and entrance-based eligibility criteria. Admission to GGU is primarily through the GGUCET 2026 entrance exam or a recognised national/state-level test. For undergraduate programs, candidates must pass 10+2 or equivalent with at least 60% marks, and admission is based on merit in EAPCET, GGUCET, JEE, or a qualifying exam.
For the BCA program, candidates must have passed 10+2 with at least 50% marks and Computer Science or Applications as a subject, and appear for the entrance test conducted by GGU. For M.Tech, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field with at least 50% marks and a valid GATE or PG-GGUCET score. For the MCA programme, the candidate must have a BCA or equivalent degree with at least 50% marks and a valid GATE or PG-GGUCET score.
GGU has a good placement rate of around 89% for students graduating in 2024 and has maintained an excellent placement record. The university offers an average package of around INR 4.6 LPA, with top students receiving the highest packages of up to INR 12.6 LPA.

Over 1735 students received placements in various fields from renowned companies participating in the placement drive, such as Virtusa, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Hyundai, MEIL, Tech Mahindra and others.
Godavari Global University offers merit-based scholarships for the academic year 2025–26 (Semester 1) to help deserving students. These scholarships are available for B.Tech for all specializations, B.Pharm, BBA, BCA, B.Com, BSc for all specialisations, and BPT programs. GGU provides 100%, 75%, 50% and 25% fee scholarships based on entrance exam scores, board exam marks, and sports achievements.
For B.Tech and B.Pharm courses, scholarships are given based on GGUCET 2025 score, JEE Main 2025 percentile, AP EAPCET/ TS EAMCET rank, Board of Intermediate Education (BIE), State Board percentage, sports participation, and more. Students with very high scores, top ranks, or international-level sports participation can get a 100% scholarship. Students with slightly lower but good scores or national-level sports participation are eligible for 75% scholarships. 50% and 25% scholarships are given to students with good academic performance and state-level sports participation.
For GGU courses such as BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.Sc, and BPT, scholarships are awarded based on GGUCET scores, board exam marks, and sports achievements. Students with top scores or international sports participation can get a 100% scholarship. While others can get 75%, 50% or 25% scholarships based on their marks or sports level. Students will continue receiving scholarships after the first semester on the basis of their academic performance.
