Under the Domicile Scholarship, three schemes are provided, which are the Diversity Scholarship policy, the Uttarakhand State Domicile Policy and the Other Hilly State Domicile Policy. The fee concessions provided in these scholarships are as follows:
Diversity Scholarship Policy: Under the Diversity Scholarship Policy, up to a 10% concession will be provided to the students in the 1st year academic fees for the students from other states of India. From 2nd year onwards candidates who score a minimum of 75% attendance, have no backlogs of Unfair Means (UFM) cases and have no disciplinary record can continue to avail this scholarship scheme.
Other Hilly State Domicile Policy: In this scholarship scheme a 10% tuition fee waiver will be provided per year to support the meritorious and talented students from Ladakh, Sikkim, Nagaland, Assam, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh and the districts of Darjeeling and Kalimpong (West Bengal).
Uttarakhand State Domicile Policy: In the Uttarakhand State Domicile Policy Scholarship, a 25% fee waiver (on tuition fees) will be available annually for all permanent residents of Uttarakhand. 40% of seats across all university programmes are reserved for these students. To claim this scholarship, students must produce a valid domicile certificate (in original) from the state of Uttarakhand at the time of admission/counselling.
The Merit-Based Scholarship scheme is awarded on the basis of merit. For availing this scholarship scheme, candidates need to possess these minimum percentiles in different entrance exams, which are given below:

To avail themselves of this scholarship, candidates need to complete the eligibility criteria, which are as follows:
All programmes' qualifying examinations must be cleared on the first attempt.
No rounding off of the CGPA is permitted. For example, a CGPA of 8.99 will be considered the same and not 9.00.
To continue this scholarship scheme, 2nd-year students must maintain the SGPA with 75% attendance in every academic year and not be involved in any wrongdoing.
In the Beti Padhao Scholarship Policy, students get a 5% fee waiver (on the base fee) per year. This scholarship scheme is for all female students who have taken Admission in the UG, PG, and diploma programmes of DBUU. For availing, candidates must meet all these conditions:
At the time of admission, students must meet the minimum percentage requirements to qualify.
From the second year onwards, students must maintain at least 75% attendance, have no backlogs or unfair means cases, and have no disciplinary issues to continue receiving the scholarship.
Under this scholarship scheme, candidates get a 5% fee waiver per year. This scholarship scheme is available for students with a sports background (State & National level). This scholarship is granted based on Sports Quota guidelines and will be reviewed every year, with these conditions:
From the second year onwards, students must maintain at least 75% attendance, have no backlogs or unfair means cases, and have no disciplinary issues.
Students must also participate actively in university-level sports to continue receiving the scholarship.
A 5% fee waiver (on base fee) per year is available for children of defence personnel (Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guards, and paramilitary forces) for all UG, PG, and diploma programmes, subject to the following conditions:
To qualify, students need to present valid documents during admission:
For serving defence personnel: Dependent’s card, Aadhaar card of the serviceman, and Aadhaar card of the student.
For retired defence personnel: the Aadhaar card of the serviceman, the discharge certificate, and the Aadhaar card of the student.
From the second year onwards, the scholarship will continue if the student maintains at least 75% attendance, has no backlogs or unfair means cases, and has no disciplinary issues.

1. Scholarship for Alumni Opting for a Higher Programme at DBUU:
Candidates will get a 10% fee waiver on the academic fee per year for students who graduated from DBUU across India and are interested in pursuing higher education from DBUU.
This scholarship is for students from all over India, Uttarakhand and Hilly state. To acquire this scholarship scheme, candidates need to submit their University ID Card / Fee Slip and a copy of the Provisional Certificate issued in the same year / Grade card (all semesters) / Fee Slip.
2. Scholarships for Wards of Single Mothers: DBUU also provides financial assistance to the wards of single mothers. Such candidates will get a tuition fee waiver of 5% on the academic fees, and to avail this scholarship, candidates need to submit the following documents:
Death Certificate of the spouse or a divorce proof issued by the Court of Law
The student has to submit the certificate of a single mother issued by the competent state / National government authority.
Additionally, candidates must submit all the required paperwork.
3. Scholarship for the Orphan Students: Orphan candidates will get a fee waiver of 5% on the academic fees per year. Candidates can avail themselves of this scholarship if they submit the following documents:
Certificate from the Women Development & Child Welfare department confirming the orphan status.
An affidavit by the applicant, duly notarised and given on stamp paper of INR 10, undertaking that the applicant is an orphan/destitute.
Along with the required paperwork.
4. Scholarship for Current/Alumni Students' Sibling(s):
Candidates who are siblings and studying at DBUU will get a 10% fee waiver (on the academic fee) for current or alumni students. Candidates can only avail this scholarship programme if they submit the following documents: University ID card and Aadhaar or any valid photo ID proof showing the parent’s name (documentary proof for the sibling is required).
A copy of the sibling’s degree certificate from DBUU/DBGI (if applicable).
5. Scholarships for Differently Abled Students: Differently abled students will receive an additional 5% fee waiver on academic fees per year, but they have to fulfil or submit the following conditions and documents:
A certificate of disability must be issued by the State or National Government Hospital/Board.
6. Scholarship for Wards of Employees of DBUU: There will be a 10% fee waiver on the academic fee per year for the children of DBUU employees. Apart from this, candidates need to complete the following conditions:
The scholarship applies to all programmes offered by DBUU.
It remains valid as long as the parent is employed at DBUU, and it will be revoked once the employee leaves the university.
The scholarship is not applicable retroactively.
7. Scholarships for the EWS Students: A 10% fee waiver (on academic fees) per year is available for students from the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category, provided they submit the following documents:
Government-verified document or income proof certificate showing the candidate's income and wealth level (EWS Certificate).
Income tax returns for the last two years for both the parents and the student (if applicable).
8. Scholarship Policy – Employee Reference: A fee waiver of 5% to 10% on academic fees per year is available for students referred or recommended by Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University (DBUU) employees, subject to the following conditions:
The scholarship applies to all programmes offered by DBUU.
The scholarship remains valid only as long as the referring employee is employed at DBUU. It will be revoked if the employee leaves the university.
The scholarship will not be applied retroactively.
From the second year onwards, the scholarship will continue if the student maintains at least 75% attendance, has no backlogs or unfair means cases, and has no disciplinary issues.
These Scholarships are available for all the programmes offered at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University for the duration of the programme for all the students from India and Uttarakhand.
Candidates must note that to avail the scholarship offered at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University, they must complete some of the terms and conditions which are provided in this section:
If a student receives more than one scholarship, the total scholarship amount for the year, including Domicile, Diversity and Hill Scholarships, cannot exceed 100% of the tuition fee.
There are three categories of scholarships: Category 1 (home-based), Category 2 (merit-based), and Category 3 (additional scholarships). Students can choose one scholarship from each category.
Students who meet the University's scholarship eligibility criteria must submit their application along with the required documents to the Registrar for review.
The marks, scores, grades, or ranks used for scholarship evaluation should not include marks from back, improvement, or supplementary exams.
If at any stage it is found that a student has concealed, provided false information, or provided incorrect information, their admission and scholarship benefits may be cancelled, and the University may withdraw any financial assistance already provided.
In case of any appeal, dispute, clarification, or disagreement, the Vice Chancellor's decision will be final and binding.
The University management may change the scholarship policy at any time.
If a student is involved in any other disciplinary matter, the scholarship will be permanently cancelled. The student will also not be eligible for scholarships in future years.
