The Datta Meghe Institute of Higher Education and Research (DMIHER), formerly known as Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (DMIMS). It was founded in 1990 and recognised as a Deemed-to-be University in 2025. The NAAC also accredits the Institute with an A++ grade and has NABH & NABL-accredited laboratories.
It has two campuses and offers over 275 programs across various streams, including Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurveda, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Pharmacy, Allied Sciences, Homoeopathy, Engineering, Commerce and Management, Science and technology, Social Sciences, Humanities and liberal arts, and others.

The institute offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, dual degree, doctoral, and online programs. Candidates who want to get admission into any of these courses must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
Candidates applying for the MBBS course should have passed class 12th in the PCB stream with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC & ST candidates).
For courses such as MD Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, and more, candidates should have graduated with an MBBS degree and qualified NEET PG exam.
Candidates applying for the BDS course should have passed class 12th with a minimum of 50% (45% marks for SC&ST). They also need to qualify in the NEET exam.
For the B.Com course, candidates should have passed class 12th from a recognised board in India.
