B.M.S. College of Engineering is a VTU-affiliated college with good placement outcomes in 2024 in most of the branches. The Bio-Technology department got 17 students that were placed with 22 offers. Mechanical engineering registered 99 students placed and 119 offers with good industry demand. The Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering had 43 students offered 53 offers. Electronics and Communication Engineering had a great performance having 176 students placed and 218 offers. The Information Science Engineering registered the best results with 207 students placed and 259 offers especially because of the increased requirement in the technology industry. There were 29 students in Chemical Engineering who were offered 39 jobs. The branch of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning had the least number of students (6), yet it had 62 offers, which demonstrates a great demand in AI skills. Computer Science Engineering is the most placed having 167 students placed and 242 job offers. Information Science Engineering is next with 157 students placed and 202 offers. Electronics and Communication Engineering also had a good performance of 153 students placed and 218 offers. The demand to work in AI professionals increased with 91 students receiving 137 offers in new technology areas, such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Mechanical Engineering position was 67 and Electrical and Electronics Engineering position was 36 and 50 offers respectively. Good placement opportunities were also found in other branches like the Civil, Chemical, Aerospace and Industrial Engineering Management. The MCA and M.Tech postgraduate courses also placed 58 students and 59 students respectively with good career prospects of students.
