The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jammu is the first AIIMS facility in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and is the best in terms of healthcare. The admission process at AIIMS Jammu is exam-based and varies by programme. Undergraduate admission (for MBBS) is conducted through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG), followed by counselling by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
Admission for postgraduate (MD, MS, MDS) and super-speciality (DM, MCh) courses is through the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET and INI-SS), conducted by AIIMS, New Delhi.

The candidates should have cleared the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) counselling procedure and secured a high competitive position in the NEET-UG entrance examination to be offered the MBBS course of AIIMS Jammu.
In the academic field, the applicants should have passed the English, physics, chemistry, and biology 10+2 exams by an authorised board. A minimum of 40% for candidates from reserved categories and 50% for candidates from general/EWS categories must be earned in the qualifying exam. Additionally, by December 31st of the admission year, an applicant must be at least 17 years old.
AIIMS entrance exams are used to admit students to the B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing programme. To be eligible for the B.Sc. (Hons) programme, the candidates should have completed 10+2 with English, physics, chemistry, and biology with a minimum aggregate of 55-70 per cent (General/OBC/EWS) and 50-70 per cent (SC/ST).
The AIIMS Jammu medical graduates are well trained and hold high esteem, promising certain career paths and placements in the medical industry.
