AIIMS Deoghar provides UG, PG, and Super-Speciality courses, such as MBBS, BSc Nursing, MD Anatomy, MS General Surgery, MS OBG, DM Cardiology, MDS Dentistry, MCH Neurosurgery, and others. Admission to these courses is based on entrance exam scores such as NEET UG & PG and INI CET. Currently, the admissions are closed, and candidates are advised to check the official website to know more about the admission dates regarding the 2026 session.
The Institute offers different medical courses at the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Super-Speciality levels. Candidates seeking admission into any of these courses must make sure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria of the course they are applying in.
Currently, the admissions are closed, and for next year, the NEET UG will be held in May 2026 (Tentative), whereas NEET PG will be held in July or August 2026. Once the candidates qualify for the exam, they will be shortlisted for the counselling session, where they will need to pay the admission fee to secure their seat.

AIIMS Deoghar offers different courses at UG, PG, and Super-Speciality levels. Here is an overview of the eligibility criteria for some of the courses:
For the MBBS course, candidates must have completed their Class 12 with a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Along with this, a valid score of NEET UG is also required.
Candidates applying for the BSc Nursing course need to have passed 12th with PCB by securing at least 60% marks.
For the MDS course, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks. Along with this, they also need to qualify for the INI-CET exam.
To be eligible for the MD/ MS course, candidates must have an MBBS degree and also qualify for the INI CET exam.
The Institute provides undergraduate courses such as MBBS and BSc Nursing. Candidates applying for the MBBS course should have passed Class 12th with a minimum of 60% marks (45% to 50% for SC, ST, & PwD students)in subjects such as English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Whereas, candidates applying for the BSc Nursing course must have completed their 10+2 with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Furthermore, candidates need to appear for the NEET exam for MBBS admission. Admission for the year 2025 is currently closed, and will re-open in August 2026 (Tentative).
MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, offered by AIIMS Deoghar, with a duration of 5.5 years. The seats available per year for MBBS is 125. To be eligible for admission, students must have completed their Class 12 from a recognised board with at least 60% marks with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (50% marks for SC/ ST). Along with this, a valid score of NEET UG is also required. Admission for the MBBS course is currently closed and will reopen in August 2026 (Tentative).
AIIMS Deoghar offers various courses at the PG level, such as MD, MS, and MDS in different fields, such as Anaesthesiology, Anatomy, General Medicine, Psychiatry, OBG, Orthopaedics, and Otorhinolaryngology, etc. Candidates applying to any of these courses must have an MBBD degree from an MCI/NMC-recognised university. They also need to have completed a 12-month internship and passed the INI-CET exam. For the academic year 2025, the admission is currently closed, and it’s expected to be re-open in August 2026 (Tentative).
The Institute offers an MD in General Medicine, which is a three-year postgraduate course. Through this program, candidates learn about non-surgical diagnosis and various adult diseases. The course also focuses on internal medicine and other subspecialties, such as cardiology, pulmonology, and infectious diseases.
Candidates who want to get admission into this course should have an MBBS degree with a minimum of 50% marks, and have completed a 1-year compulsory rotating internship. Additionally, they need to qualify for the NEET-PG exam to secure admission into the program.
